MarketForce very silly!

I have done a lot of gas station audits for MF. At the end of last month there were three in very remote, unpopulated areas that were not done. The fee went from $18 to $30 to "Make offer." These three places are about an hour from my home and not too terribly far away from each other, so I made an offer and they accepted and I did them. How funny that I got an email today offering me a $3 premium over the regular $10 fee! No thanks. I'll wait until the end of the month to see how high it goes, and if it doesn't go high enough I won't do it, that's for sure.

I get those a lot as well. LOL

none
Yeah, I know right?...lol..I just posted something about that as well. I did $20.00 gas stations then I took $10.00 ones. I was like, what am I doing.I will just wait and see if anyone gets them, if not and they bring the price up to at least $18. I will nab those suckers. I realized $10 just isn't worth my time.
I received 5 of these emails yesterday, all for the "arches." $7.50 plus the whopping $3 bonus. No thanks.

I do laugh at how they attempt to butter us up by telling us we are "great shoppers." Forget the compliments and show me the real money!
I agree. "WE" know they can offer more, but they only do it when they are desparate. If just seems to me that if they want them done now, they would just offer the more....lol Especially since we know they can offer more.

Did you notice that the bonus has changed to $2.00?

The amount of the bonus can changed each time they send you the email.
Last week I received almost daily calls from the 925 callers. I answered the phone reluctantly a few times. They went on and on with the spiel about how I was doing and confirming to whom they were speaking. Long story short, they offer a shop fee, I counter offer. They have to check with supervisor and call back. Several hours go by, no call. About 5 hours, call comes. Not approved, but they offer $5 less. I say, "No thanks, how about $xxx?" The caller comes back with FIFTY CENTS less. I just about hung up on her then. Ended up with the shop for $3 less than originally asked for. The American schedulers would never have the nerve to offer $21.50 when someone asked for $22.00. Just saying. I would rather just hear "No, we can't pay that much." End of story. However, I did pick up at least three bonused shops from their calls last week, so they can give bonuses. I also find myself being very curt to them, which is against my normal phone demeanor, but I can't stand their blah..blah..blahness.

Wow... I just got another one. I am literally laughing out loud that they think that ONE DOLLAR is going to motivate me.

Thank you for being a great Market Force Shopper!
We're offering a Shopper Appreciation Bonus this weekend, just for you!

Dear Carolyn,

We would like to take a moment to thank you for all that you do as a valued member of our Shopper Force! To show our gratitude for all the hard work you do, we are offering a Shopper Appreciation Bonus this weekend!

We show that you are scheduled to complete one or more shops either today, Saturday, or Sunday. Kids are out of school, summer is busy, and it isn’t always easy to find time to squeeze in an additional shop. In order to get the most bang for your buck while you are out doing the shops you have already scheduled this weekend, we will add an additional $1 on shops* you self-assign to be completed between now and Sunday.

How to Get This Bonus
• Go online to the Shopper Website and self-assign shops to be completed today, Saturday, or Sunday.
• This offer excludes telephone shops.
• Please note that this offer does not apply to shops that were self-assigned prior to 12:00 PM EST today, 7/6/2012.
• Please respond back to the message with your Assignment ID(s) and we will add the additional $1 within 48 hours.

Again, a very special thank you for everything you do!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
There is so much more to add to the MF silliness list, not to mention the appropriateness of their initials! I haven't worked for them for over a year, when I could not resolve a dispute over their typically unclear guidelines and/or eval wording that resulted in my losing some money.

Do they still make you take shop quizzes? Those went off my silliness meter, too much unpaid work. Keep up the good bartering! -- I once made $100 on a trailer check with good bartering, though it did take all day...the shop that is, not the bartering. ;-)
Yep, just received an email about how they are willing to give me an extra $1 on the $7.50 fast food shop. A few days ago they were paying $3 extra. If they are so desperate why is the price going down?

ROFL that never occurred to me before - funny!

So far I have only had some pre-qualifying ones like "Do you agree that you must..." and "Do you confirm you nor any family member or close friend have worked for..."
