So, I am curious. How old are you and your wife?

Let's talk Market Force. I have a file folder I started for them, but after the things I have heard about them in this discussion, I think I'll just leave them to other shoppers.
They are annoying, but they are usually really easy reports and a consistent revenue stream for me.
Speaking of revenue stream, anyone get paid this cycle from them? I usually get it by the 6th and today still shows nothing and I have all those blasted audits from last month I did at bonus $$!

Sometimes you get it early but they have until the 20th to pay read the faqs and it will tell you.
Actually they usually pay on the 6th and then 2 weeks later on the 20th. This is purple portal, not blue.

Oh, Okay. But sometimes they pay later too. I remember once not getting my first pay until about the 12th. You would think they could do better. It always seemed to happen when I was desparate for the money. lol.
I thought you were talking about Certified. Since my jobs with them are few and far between, the payment terms were not on my spreadsheet and I appreciate the information. Will an assignment completed on 9/1 be paid out 9/20 or should I be looking for it 10/6?

Lisa, If I remember correctly it will paid on 9/20. I haven't worked for them for several months but they were always good about paying in a timely manner. Usually when they paid it was for everything up to a few days before paroll was posted.

Actually, based on the checks I received from them, your 9/1 shop should be included
in the 9/7 or 9/10. I used to receive mine like clockwork and although the checks do not reach
me until about 7-10 days in the mail, they do/did pay twice a month. I guess 9/17 would
be more like it but who knows? 10/5 or 10/8 would be a bit late for them.
Lisa - at this point, anything goes. It might be this week because they are so late and it might be two weeks from today.

For bleeps and giggles - try and give that type of answer to your mortgage, utility or credit card company and see what type of response you'd get. Ridiculous.
Haven't had a Market Force scheduler call me in many months and lo and behold one called me just now, from the great state of Alabama. Loved the accent and I could understand her perfectly.

After we settled on the bonus and other details, I told her I loved hearing from her because I could understand her. Told her about posts in forums about Market Force outsourcing and the frustration that brings to shoppers. She said many shoppers have told her that but she has no idea where those calls orignate.
I'm happy to say I received my payment from Certified today. It was even for the correct amount.

Once in a while the stars align and they have a shop that is not distasteful and actually pays wellwinking smiley

Yes, indeedy. =)

Unless something goes really wrong, this shop will be anything but distasteful. It's a restaurant I shop once in a while and like.

Oinky, oinky, oink. Gonna be a little (ok, not so little) piggy. ;-)
I received an call from a GA scheduler recently, and we got to talking about the outsourced solicitations. The scheduler offered to note that I only want to receive calls from the U.S., so for those of you who can't stand the non-U.S. calls, that's an option.
Being a slightly different sort of person (I heard that!!) I end to enjoy the weird phone calls from the MS companies with international calling centers. I daresay I have them muttering to themselves after a Cettie Special, much like I do to telemarketers in this country. What can I say? It entertains me.

I would love to read some examples of how you turn the tables on them. lol
For example, since I'm interested in many languages I tend to answer the Filipinos back in Tagalog, when they then speak to me all excited in Tagalog, then I switch it up to a different language altogether, at that point they go back to English and I go back to Tagalog. For telemarketers, I let them talk a bit then convince them that they were given my phone number so that I could evaluate them. I tell them they needed to sound more sincere in this spot, but pause for sincerity in another, then give them some code numbers to relay to their supervisor. I sound friendly and encouraging and tell them they did fine and just to work on those spots in the script. For some reason they don't call me back.

Today I picked up the phone and said hello. A girl with one of the above-mentioned accents said,"Is this Anne?" I said, " Yes, and what do you want?" She said, "I'm Tinesha with Marketforce," and began talking about the same shop they call me about every day, which I never take (I did one over 1 yr. ago). I hung up. A few seconds later the phone rang again and I picked it up - it was her again. This is exactly what she said, "Do you have a problem w/ manners? That was very rude." I told her I knew her name and was going to complain. What does everyone think? Should I complain?
I had one from Market Force blue portal today. She went the super sweet route and started complimenting me to death - love my name, love my voice, etc. She wanted me to shop FF 50 miles one way and I told her no. I did it once years ago, because I happened to be there.

What would be the basis of your complaint? It did sound like you were very rude.
Recently, I contacted MarketForce because I had trouble trying to sign into my account. I learned from a shopper advocate that my account was deactivated for inactivity. How long does your account have to be inactive before they deactivate you? They have not had available shops in my area that were accessible to me; I use public transportation. They asked for updated profile information and asked me if I was reinstated if I planned to become active by selecting shops as soon as possible. How many shops have to be completed to keep your account from going into inactivity status? From the posts on this forum it sounds like there are many challenges to maintaining a relationship with this company.
Even though I do not appreciate the outsourced calls, I am polite to the people who are just trying to do an honest day's work. I will not hang up on them, but will either not answer when I see the number or, if for some reason I take the call, I listen and, if it is the case, tell them that I am not interested. It was not Tanesha's fault that the company hired her to call shoppers. I think all of our talk here about resenting the outsourced call center numbs some of us to the fact that those employees are people with feelings.

Silver certified, I shop in Cities in NM and TX that no one has ever heard of.
I've been getting calls from them this week. After missing several I finally answered yesterday. It was an offer for the same job I completed last month, at less than half the previous fee. No thanks.
