I did something like that, except I also had to report the exact location of those watches, in the display window and the counter. I also had to dress up to show I could afford those watches.
I was reminded of another shop for this company that made me feel like I had pasted a sign on my forehead, "I am a mystery shopper." The manager practically shouted at me for asking for something which I should have been aware of was never sold before Wednesday, if I was really a collector. Oh, I got 9 and 8 for those. Both required photos and mine were not the best as my hands were shaking. lol
