Stop Payment Fees

Hi All,

I am new here to the forum and have been looking for an answer to my question but not having any luck...

I recently did a shop for a local firm and for some reason my payment got lost in the mail. I inquired to the company and was told I either have to wait 6 months or pay a stop payment fee for a new check to be issued. Do what?!?!?

Being new to mystery shopping in general, are all companies like this? I don't want to waste my time and money performing shops without reimbursements for 6 months.

In my experience, most companies are NOT like this. Good luck.
Few companies pay by check, direct deposit or paypal is the norm....your problem is definitely not normal, and I'm not sure the check got lost in the mail. Please name the company, maybe someone else has had problems with them, and can give you some advice.
