Beware of Monterey Mystery Shopping, BestMark and Marketforce

Thanks, Wales, I just copied this recipe. It sort of makes my mouth water and I can almost smell the fragrance already simmering. I would make it in a crock pot. Where I live it was over 70 degrees today, completly not normal. We don't have our usual rain. In fact we have had the longest dry spell and warm weather since I believe 1899.

I recognize the writing style as one who he himself has been known to be one of the nastiest, even though you are posting
under a new name. Like calling posters "full of hot air" . Very mature. But you don't like getting it back eh what.

No, my terminilogy is not offensive. Yours is. Snarky drivel, slunk away embarrassed ?

That's not the feedback, when they say they'll never come here again, after the treatment they have received.

Nothing gets through to you know it all, correct their grammar when they are enraged, does it ?

You attackers all have to be right because you know better than anyone else....and have also worked on the other side of the fence, or are worried for your own income because you have posted under your own recognizable name.

Of course some may have ulterior motives such as stopping the success and power of this forum. I wouldn't put it past some particular posters.

I particularly love the oft repeated threat " you will be recognized and blackballed by all MSC's" by the hens.

There's something wrong with people who call others' complaints about not being paid or being treated badly, trivial.

You may get tired of the same complaints, but instead of realizing there may be something wrong with the company, you choose to find flaws with the complainer. If you can't say something good to the complainer in a pleasant even tone without snarky and nasty, don't say anything at all.

If one cannot see the difference between how Wild Bill and Blanka phrased their arguments, that explains a lot about the perception of other posts that are being called into question on the forum.

Does anyone honestly believe that ALL new posters are attacked?

I understand that you feel you were unfairly attacked and/or bullied when joining the forum, shoppingalong, but that is not the case for all new posters. I see plenty of people who join, post, and do not get bullied or attacked. That treatment is generally reserved for those who post incorrect statements and then vehemently defend them.

Now we are supposed to believe there’s a conspiracy to dilute the power of the forum by denying the claims of outraged shoppers?

Can we please go back to recipe posting. I find it much more useful….
Some people are just toxic and it is best to just let them be...I'm sensing that now.
Okay, if recipes won't work, let's all just stopp feeding this troll!

Hi,

The pacifist here. I would love it if we could dial this back a little bit. I think it's unfair and unnecessary to call people names. We can all talk to each other, disagree with one another, without calling each other names and being mean. -sigh-

It should be fair for one person to post an opposing viewpoint and be treated with respect (whether that person is brand new or someone who has posted-- per Jacob's guidelines-- in a contributory way in the past). We can _still_ treat people with respect, even when they go off half cocked (which was, in my opinion, after trying in numerous posts in this thread to help her, Blanka's issue) even when we don't agree with them. We should all be able to not see eye-to-eye and still walk away from the forum without fearing monumental blow-back. =X

Maybe we could shake hands, try to cordon off some peace, and say that it's okay if we see the situation differently (as we are all very different people with very different thoughts on a myriad of subjects).

Please.

As per Jacob's guidelines, I don't think any of us is having fun and I'd like to think if he were here he'd say, "Shake hands, have a mai tai."

You keep repeating that however untrue it is.

The only problem I have ever had on this forum was sticking up for ACE switching to Pay Quicker,

and with your arrogance, Steve So Cal posting that I was "full of hot air."

You have a vocabulary of snarky, nasty, and just plain mean.

Your clique may have appreciated it, but I found it extremely unpleasant, snarky and uncalled for on this forum.

Furthermore I find that if I say white, you say black, whether in private conversation or public, and obviously you have shared many private conversation with others - untrustworthy to boot.

Your clique may love your snarky comments, I dont. So do me a favor, don't answer any of my posts.
If there was an ignore button on this forum, you would be the first name I would put on it.

Do me and yourself a favor, don't answer my posts and I wont repeat your nasty posts back to you.

That must be the same crock pot you cook up boring posts in.......Is that what you wanted to hear?.....hahahahaha.........sorry!
I think we may be missing something here. I'm intrigued with the tap dancing hens, and I'm trying to get a picture in my mind. Would we be tap dancing in a straight line on a stage, or would we be tap dancing like in a wavy line through the park, like the California Raisins? Also, you'll notice I've included myself as a tap dancing hen, even though I haven't been specifically named. I believe I am a tap dancing hen if I think I am a tap dancing hen, so I'm in. Steve, if you want to dance I'm sure you can just say you are a tap dancing rooster and we'll take you right in. Then there is the super serious question of what do we wear when we're tap dancing. Gene Kelly wore regular clothes, and Fred Astaire had that cute little hat. As I remember, the California Raisins had spats. Is that right? It's been a while. What do yall think of black yoga pants and a skimpy little white T shirt with fake feathers on one shoulder? Would that be classy? It would be hard to have regular practice considering we're spread all over, but the main thing about being a tap dancing hen would be getting to have a happy good time and spread cheer and have fun. Who's in with the Hens?

When you say something innacurate, I will correct you. That's how I roll.

I feel confident that my posts are not nasty in nature. If you are under the impression I that have posted comments toward you under another screen name, you are the one who is arrogant. I promise you that I have better things to do with my time and you are mistaken.

I would think my track record of being reasonable and balanced in my postings on this forum speaks for itself.

If your still have an issue with me, join us at the bar and I will buy a round of whatever you are drinking. Life is too short to be pissed off abut imaginary BS......
Mary...we cross posted. I like your suggestion and demand to at least be referred to as a rooster if I am to be lumped in with hens.

Yes, there is a rooster in the hen house! He's drinking Belgian ale tonight if anyone is buying...
So I'm a newbie, and having signed up for MF and BestMark, of course this thread caught my eye. And what can I say but, "Wow!" I even skipped a few pages and it picked right back up like I hadn't missed anything! smiling smiley
Even though I'm new at MS, it was obvious from the first post that the terms "fraud" and "scam" were being used for their inflammatory properties by someone who was angry, and not being used properly to actually warn people about a scam. I haven't done many shops yet, and I don't think the payments I've received so far have been from either of those 2 companies, but my interactions with them have all seemed above board. I've had to resubmit a couple of receipt pictures that looked okay to me but weren't okay to them, and I've had one shop rejected (I believe I'm up to 29 shops for all the companies I've signed up with, so 1 out of 29), but the rejection was for cause. I might not agree entirely with it, but there was cause: it was a FF shop that was supposed to be done alone, and I performed it alone, but the place was extremely busy, and 2-3 minutes before I could leave, someone who knew me came in and joined me because there were no other seats. I reported this, since I wasn't alone for the "entire" shop, and they said the client wouldn't be able to use the shop, so it was rejected.
I did use the forum topics to research each company before I signed up with them, hoping to avoid any duds. I also used the job board to look for companies actually in my area (I still managed to go through the sign up process for three companies with nothing here). As a newbie, let me say that I've felt fairly welcome, and have certainly appreciated all of the assistance that I've found here.
I firmly believe that inflammatory language is not used as a real warning to other shoppers and that posters are using it to play the Google search angle. These titles generate a lot of hits and the topic moves up. Often when someone performs searches for mystery shopping companies they are supplied with links to this site so it can serve as revenge for the shopper who, right or wrong, had a problem with the company.
