Business Observations

I just received an email from this company regarding video apartment shops. Has anyone worked for them?

The pay is very low for video shops and the shop requires a report.

They sent me an email out of the blue. They didn't say where they got my info from. I assume from the VSN site.

I haven't responded, bec ause I am mulling the $30 fee.

I don't know if they only do video. This email is the first I've heard of them.

Written shops alone regularly go for $25 to $40.

Exactly. I don't know how extensive the report is, exactly. Perhaps it is very short. But still...

I invested a lot of money/time into becoming a video shopper andthe risk of losing a shop is much higher.

I think I'm going to pass on these.

Even if the report is non-existent, that is well below any video shop. And you are absolutely right, we have all invested a lot in purchasing equipment and getting trained.

I would hate to see video shops go the way of written shops with fees starting at pennies.

I've thought about that quite a bit.

Recently supply and demand was on our side because there few video shoppers. Since video has been successful we are all seeing new clients and new industries to help keep the fees high. It is realistic to expect fees on some types of shops to go down as more shoppers purchase equipment and get trained, but unless the price of equipment drops like a stone, there are never going to be enough people willing to make such a large investment and certainly not for $10 shops.
