URGENT - CORI Question Regarding Rescheuling

I am scheduled to perform my first CORI today/tonight. I had to work my regular job today and I had a PT appt. at 5pm. (PT = Physical Therapy.) My PT session was pretty brutal so now I am in a lot of pain and not feeling very well.

There is a notice that the CORI office is closed for Thanksgiving Day thru Monday morning so a phone call and/or e-mail will not help me right now. I would like to reschedule for tomorrow (which was in the original date range) but I don't think the system will allow me to self-reschedule. Any suggestions?

That is a downfall to their system and I've never figured out why we can self-assign and not have an option to reschedule once. Sometimes they have a skeleton crew available on Saturdays, but I don't know if they will because of the holiday.

@ LisaSTL ~ The scheduler who contacted me to perform this shop because another shopper flaked out told me that they would not have anyone working this weekend due to the holiday.

What happens if I click the following link at the top of the page on my shop log? "If you do not want to complete this job, please Click Here" Does it cancel the job?

I already called their office and left a detailed voicemail so there would be a record of my phone call. I am trying to send them an e-mail right now but I don't have a scheduler name or e-mail address. I found a general e-mail.

Is it better to leave the shop on the board and wait until they contact me on Monday morning which I guess will put it in an overdue status? Or is it better for me to completely cancel this shop and try to reschedule for Monday?

I hate this part of mystery shopping. I really have no idea what to do.

a detailed voicemail to CORI or your scheduler should work. if you did it before the shop was due.You should offer to do the shop asap after getting in touch with them. If you need to reach a particular person, email me and maybe I can supply you with the email address of that person.

Happy Shopping to all.
Thanks bxb21. I did both...voicemail message and an e-mail. I found the scheduler's name and e-mail address "hidden" at the very bottom on my shop details. I did both forms of contact between 7pm/8pm before the store was closed and before the due time.

In the e-mail, I offered to perform the shop on Saturday or Sunday if she checked her e-mail over the weekend. If not, I offered to perform it on Monday morning BEFORE my next PT appt.

Now I am feeling no pain since I broke down and took a Vicodin. But I can not drive either so I am in for the night. Thanks for your help, both you and LisaSTL.

Don't cancel the job on the site. It will result in an immediate 1 point drop in your rating and, if you haven't worked with them much, could prevent you from self-assigning. The shop will auto cancel some time on Sunday and you may also get a ding on your rating. Since you have tried to contact them, they will probably restore the rating. The other question, do you know the real deadline for the shop?

Just go ahead and do the shop today and enter it before noon. You should be good to go.
Personally, I will never take another shop for them over a holiday weekend. I ran into big problems over a recent national holiday weekend when the place being shopped was closed. But because they (CRI) were not in the office, I had no one to contact. I called, emailed, left message on the Live Help. The shop auto cancelled because it was due Fri (I shopped location during business hours but after CRI went home) and they were not in Sat, Sun or Mon. The scheduler sent me snarky email about flaking and not notifying them location was closed for a reschedule. They claimed to have never gotten my emails and then they claimed to have responded to all of them I sent (so which was it...it depended on what scheduler I was speaking with). I only got one response to 1 email out of 4 and that is after I contaced them thru their site, not the direct scheduler....6 days later. I got dinged a point with the auto unassign.

They called me wanted me to do the shop again on day 7 and I refused until they gave me my point back. I explained the situation, they DID give me my point back...but lesson learned, I will never shop for them on a holiday weekend when they are unavailable for several days at a time, unless it is a familiar shop and location that I know will go smoothly.
Actually your policy should apply to any and all companies who schedule shops over weekends and/or holidays and do not provide some sort of emergency contact. We hear way too many stories of unresolved issues and nasty responses four to six days later. I also won't do a shop over a weekend unless it is a familiar location and scenario.

Well, I have learned the hard way. CORI has not been in the office since Wednesday so that will have been four whole days without any sort of help or communication. I will have to wait until Monday morning for a response.

I have already received all the reminder e-mails. The shop was removed this morning and it looks like my score took a 1/2 point ding. I'm sure things will be resolved on Monday but if not, I am not too worried about it. These CORI shops seem to be plentiful but low-paying.

I just went through the same thing and it is annoying. They send auto replies but they are working because I did 6 shops and some of them were signed off on. I won't schedule a holiday either. They should no better than to even offer that day as a shop day.
