Mystery-Shoppers (Sassie)

Has anyone "donated" for this MSP? I did one early in the month, which hasn't been rated yet - the Sassie system way. I would like some feedback/reassurance before doing others. I have to say, being paid to donate does seem to be an oxymoron.

I understand your question. My personal reaction is philosophical. I was never in favor of charitable solicitations in the workplace. The pressure on employees to contribute as 'team players' I found inappropriate. If the charity was not one of my priorities, I resisted. As Independent Contractors, I do find it highly inappropriate to request participation in the corporate giving campaigns--regardless of how 'voluntary' it may be presented as being.

I am not a member of any organized church though I find the notion of 'the tithe' as an excellent moral/ethical guideline of contributing back to my community/world. While some donations of time and goods I can do directly, for many I need to research organizations who perform functions I believe in where bureaucratic costs do not absorb an undue amount of my donation.

This year my choice must be for local assistance. One household in 59 in my county was served with their first notice of foreclosure last month. The food banks are having unprecedented demand as unemployment climbs. For me, this is not the year to funnel funds to altzheimer's or heart or cancer research. This is the year to make basic food available in my community, and that will not be through full retail price bags of 'selected groceries' from my supermarket but rather donations directly to the food bank where their buying power can get a whole lot more nutrition per buck than the grocery prepared and sold bag.
Charity begins at home. I can't even afford to give to charity any more, had to cut most out a few years ago. I give a little to PBS and a little to National Public Radio. My shopping money goes towards basic bills.

Do you want to tell us what that MSP is?
Hoenstly, with the state of the current economy, if I could afford to donate money, I would not be mystery shopping for extra income.

I SO totally hear you on that! I can't afford breathing right now. And its not due to lack of MSsing opps-its the economy that VERY drastically altered my husbands income while still working the same hours at the same job!
