MSPA certification

Are there any real benefits to getting MSPA certified? I have signed up with 65 companies and currently shop for 20. During the application process, they all ask if you are certified. I haven't had a problem getting shops without it, I'm curious what benefits you get from paying the fee.

Any thoughts and opinions are welcome.

I'm not certified yet, but am planning on getting the certification. From what I've read on here, there are some companies that give priority to certified shoppers and sometimes shops are released to certified shoppers before being released to shoppers in general.

I'm silver certified and there is no benefit. However, I have heard the gold certified shoppers say that it does make a difference.

There are several MSCs that send shop notices first to gold Certified shoppers.

I have noticed particularly that my ability to self-assign has gone through the roof since I was able to enter my silver certification on the Sassie companies. I've also seen higher-paying jobs that I wasn't seeing before.

All it takes is one shop you wouldn't have otherwise gotten to justify the $15 or $20 fee to get it.

When you get certified, do you have to go back to each site individually to enter the information?

Yes

Yes, but the place to do it is right on the screen when you sign into them. If you have entered it already for that MSC it will show a silver bar that says MSPA Silver, if not you click the Update link and enter it. So just enter them one by one when you're checking for jobs.
