Mystery Researchers aka Research Services Group

Who's worked for this company before, and what has been your experience with them regarding continuity and consistency? Here's what I've encountered with them: They pay really well. They pay QUICKLY! I like that. The bank shops I've done with them have been easy and the paperwork doesn't take too terribly long. Here's the problem I've had with them: For bank shops, shoppers are to use an assigned scenario. When they send you the email telling you that you've been assigned the shop, the email is to also tell you what scenario to use. Instead, I've had emails come to me telling me that my assigned scenario is in the guidelines. It never is. Instead, the guidelines tell you that there are 4 different scenarios, and that you will find your assigned scenario in the award email. Long story short, I had one scheduler tell me that my pay was in jeopardy because I used the wrong scenario for that particular month. I used the scenario that was specified to me in two different places after I had to email and ask about it. I told her that. She then accused me of not reading the guidelines fully and that my shop my still be in jeopardy. When I finished emailing her all the documentation stating that I did the correct scenario, I never heard from her again. AND I did get my pay. Anyhooo, I like working for the company because they pay well and they pay quickly (usually within 2 weeks of your shop). Just wondering if anyone else has worked for them and what your experience has been. Thanks!

good company in terms of pay. I find their communication to be terrible...

THANKS Austinmom!!! I will do just that!
I agree with Tech. I had 3 consecutive situations that were more aggravation than I'm willing to tolerate. I requested, and was immediately given, my de-activation. On the other side, this MSC pays quicker than most and I've no knowledge of them attempting to chisel anyone. So now, we're back to that old adage, "To each his/her own."
Well, I have had excellent communication with them and will jump at the opportunity to do more shops with them. Going to training tomorrow AM for their new project in my area. Looks like fun!

If I have a question in regards to guideline or if I was not sure about the scenario, someone emails me back within a couple of hours. I love them!

hmmm since it's an all female run company, perhaps they
only respond reasonably to others of the same....based on mine
and shopperbob's experiences who are both not newbies but males...
vs the others who are female....

They pay fast, but my experience with their scheduling has been frustrating. I much preferred when the client was handled by Feedback Plus. I find myself applying for few jobs because it takes so long for them to follow through and their selection process baffles me.

I would agree with this - they had an advertisement on one of the job boards that basically said they would give you as many as you felt you could so but I consistently will apply for 3-4 in an area I will be in and get 1-2 and then the others just sit there or go away and come back (when someone has likely flaked) but will not be convenient for me to get to so I miss out. I loved it for Feedback when I could do 8 in a day and then a few days later they would lift that and let shoppers do a few more to get them done.

Could not agree more with AM and Liz. The assignment process is a PITA. Before I would regularly take a dozen or more and fit them into my routes. Now I might apply for a few and ignore the rest.

Nothing to do with who owns companies as a generalization
I was specifcally talking about only this company....dont read
more into what I said then it is....
it was actually better when it was just her and another person...
now that there are more it has went downhill. I was simply making
an observation based on the information initally presented here before
people on both sides posted about having the same issues...

Sorry, no sale. What if I had posted the same about a male owned company being unresponsive to shoppers just because most shoppers are female? Your comment was insulting, and unnecessarily so.

Wales, try and listen to what I said instead of only
hearing what you want to hear. It has NOTHING to do
with who owns the company. If it was a company
that was all male run with no female employees and
they treated their female shoppers better then male
shoppers, I would call them out for it just as fast as
I would call an all female company with no male employees
for treating one sex over the other better rather it be male or female.
The fact that you are insuiating that I would treat male owned
companies differently then others is insulting when it couldn't be farther
from the truth.

I simply made an observation based on the information that
was presented at the time. Sometimes the truth hurts, get over it.

Now based on more information, pm's and emails I have since received, it is
clear that they are not singling out only male shoppers, but also some female
shoppers are affected by their communication issues. Hopefully they can figure
out why and fix the issue because they are a good company to work for and
always pay well ahead of industry average.
