that 90 cents could buy you a couple packs of gum
that you didnt have before!

Am I the only one who sees gum in convienence stores
for 35 cents? I'm talking wrigley's gum brands like
juicy fruit, double mint etc....not a no name gum either.

I'm not referring to the big packs but the smaller ones
with 5-8 sticks in them...maybe that's the confusion?

I got this email from them today. Totally laughable!:

I currently have an opportunity for auditors to join our Preferred Phone Shoppers.
We have approximately 3,000-5,000 phone shops per month that need to be completed by the best of our best. These include shops for ***********************
Commissions for phone shops range from $0.95 to $3.00 per call, with the majority of them around $1.00 each.

Seriously? Those rates are an insult but the sad part is that people will take those jobs.

I was thinking the SAME thing. I always pick these up for my $1.00 reimbursement at gas stations.
Frito Lay has a nut display in most convenience stores. Look on the top rack and you'll find sunflower seeds and peanuts for 59 cents a bag or 2/$1.00. Frito Lay services these stores on a regular basis so these products will never be stale, but I still check expiration dates. Best dates, of course, are toward the back of the display. The Wrigley's 35 cent gum is great, too. I buy the peanuts, sunflower seeds, Wrigley's gum, and hard candy. Today on a post office shop I shipped off a box full to three little relatives.

I buy the nuts all the time, but I never see gum that cheap. Maybe because I don't really chew gum, I don't know what and where to look. All I see is over a dollar.

I got the same letter and had pretty much the same reaction. Maybe if I were housebound and bored out of my skull....

I pray it does not occur that the last thing I did before I died was vacuum the house or eat broccoli.
same letter here, I wrote back and said how long will these calls take for only one dollar apiece?
