Market Force again

I couldn't believe it, it's Sunday morning at 8am and I am fast asleep and Market Force calls me to do a shop. I say no without even listening to her spiel. If I had been more awake I would have told her if they were going to call me on a Sunday morning at 8am they could darn well take me off their calling list. I was NOT happy.

Market Force, thank you for waking me up with the offer of a highly bonused shop. Sorry I had to put you off a day on the second shop, but I already had one of your highly bonused shops in another direction for the day you called. Thanks also for moving the second shop forward so I could still do it.

I don't take out of town shops unless they are heavily bonused so I don't take you up on most of your offers. Since I want to get the calls on the good ones, I take all the calls and say "no thanks I can't" or "Yes, I will and thank you".

JP, I understand exactly where you are on this and I respect your position. The problem is these shops run seven days a week, and the company works them seven days a week. I don't know how to establish a range of hours for them to call. Does anyone know if we can specify "No calls before X AM or after X PM CST"?

While they are not governed by the same rules as companies calling consumers, common sense should come into play and they could adopt them as their policy. That would be no calls before 8 am and after 9 pm. For Sundays it should be restricted to 10 am and 7 pm, IMHO.

The first phone call I ever got from an MSC came at 6:15 in the morning from one of the companies on the east coast. I let them know what time it was, they apologized and never called me that early again.

I pray it does not occur that the last thing I did before I died was vacuum the house or eat broccoli.
Hey, give them a break. It's 9 or 10PM where they're calling from! smiling smiley

I'm one hour behind them, so when they call, it's early here. I personally do not mind since it's money for me. smiling smiley
One solution is to give MSCs only a Google Voice number. It is then up to you whether and which of your phone(s) will ring while you sleep. If you don't have GV, give only your cell phone number. Turn off your cell phone while you sleep.
I received an early morning call from them but that was to complete a breakfast shop that was HEAVILY bonused. The bonus was so heavy, I actually got out the bed and told them yes, I will conduct the shop and began brushing my teeth. So, in this case a call after 9 am would not have benefitted either of us.

Now serving.... potatoes and corn.
They also clearly do not realize that all assignments in a major US city are not 10 minutes from my house.
