Instant Replays late payments

On their website, payment is made 45 days after shop completion unless otherwise notified. I have been working with them since fall of 2012 and have completed about 20 assignments or so. I have been paid only twice so far, and both have been seriously past due (from several weeks to 7 months in one case) and I have had to ask repeatedly when I could expect payment. Then, in both instances, payment was sent to the wrong Paypal address (my name was misspelled). My Paypal email address is correct in my profile so that was not the issue. I am now awaiting a third payment which is again late by a couple of weeks, and I really hate to have to ask again. I have searched this forum to see if anyone else has had this issue with IR but haven't seen any. I enjoy working with them as I absolutely love their schedulers, but having to ask for money and then waiting for months for it is for the birds. Anyone know what the deal is with them?

This post is very confusing. You said that you have completed around 20 assignments but have been paid only twice so far. What happened to the payment for the other 18 assignments. Also, why would you continue working for them if you have to constantly ask for your pay; and I don't understand how you can enjoy working with them if you have to worry about payment.
Not sure why it's confusing. MSCs pay all outstanding shops completed within a pay cycle in one payment (i.e. a Paypal payment of $200 delivered in June could be for five shops total completed in May). I'm not sure how much experience you have, but you will quickly find that every MSC pays in this manner. IR is no exception. I had thought that the first late payment was a fluke since I was just getting started with the company, so several months later I accepted several more assignments in a short period of time which all came due (and consequently overdue) for payment at about the same time.

To answer your second comment, I like the company because the schedulers are fantastic, the work is enjoyable, and the pay is good.

I have received several PMs from members who actually work with IR and had some relevant information about my first post, so I believe my question has been resolved... for now. Thanks though.
BTW: I have completed over 400 shops in my career. When I discuss the # of payments I do it in terms of # of shops that have been paid, not the # of pay cycles since all MSC's have different pay cycles and if a shopper hasn't worked for a specific MSC then that person will not know what the pay cycle is. I also don't understand why issues are resolved in PM's since this forum is to help shoppers out. If you have an issue then there might be other shoppers that have the same issue and would appreciate knowing the answer.
There are many shoppers on the forum who are here to help each other out. That said, many times issues are resolved in PMs. There is sometimes sensitive information that forum members are unwilling to share in open forum. Although there may be other shoppers who might appreciate knowing the answer to every issue discussed on the forum, many issues are discussed privately. I am frequently contacted by PM by other forum members requesting help (and this has nothing to do with ICA violations - please don't contact me via PM to ask me to break an ICA). There is no requirement for posters to post all issues on the open forum. If an individual asking for help is more comfortable with PMs, then I respond through a PM.
I understand that but if an open post is made regarding payment issues it is helpful if other forum members understand what the resolution is. Otherwise they might have a misleading impression about the MSC.
For the record, I was definitely more comfortable conversing through PMs with the people who responded to my question. And clearly they were more comfortable doing it that way too. It was only an "open post" to begin with because I had no idea who to PM to initially ask the question. As for anyone else having the same issue and wanting resolution, they are free to post on their own or to PM me.

Thanks all who PMd me! smiling smiley

Chigirl777 I was curious did you get paid?
No, I have not yet been paid for the latest shops I did (the ones I referenced in my original post). I have not asked about it yet but I probably will formulate a new email over the weekend to get the ball rolling. I really wish I didn't have to do it...I hate micro-managing my payments like this. <sigh>
Update: I have emailed the president of the company (to whom my scheduler referred me for this issue) twice for this particular round of payments, and have not gotten a response. I am emailing the scheduler today to see if she can help move things along. For now, I'm sad to say I won't be working with them any longer, until they can resolve their payment issues: the most overdue payment I am awaiting is 6 weeks, and the least is 3 weeks. It's too bad because otherwise, I would give them an A+ overall.
I'm sorry about your situation. You deserve to be paid on time but if there is some sort of unavoidable situation you at least deserve a response and a date you can expect to be paid. I hope you get paid soon. Let us all know how it turns out.

Edit: Sorry about the typo.

Actually I have only shopped for them twice (both in same pay period) and I too had to email and ask about my payment as it was quite late according to their terms. After bringing to their attention I got paid. I also had to contact my scheduler to get this resolved...one of the reasons I don't like being sched with one compay to work for another.....

I did multiple shops for them as well. I had to chase down my pay after every shop. My scheduler was very nice but I will not take anymore of their shops because of their unprofessional pay practices.
I have inboxed chigirl777 about this. I have multiple shops at around 90 days since submitted that have not been paid yet.
(my shop log shows paid on July 24 but I have not seen payment)
The scheduler "seems" to be helpful (sympathetic) but I am still not seeing payment come through
I'll update real quickly. Just after posting this I see a email paypal notification of payment made.
(I am sure just coincidence)
I have done assignments with Instant Replays. My payments have always been timely. However, I would like to know why shops that I am eligible for are not listed. At the same time, I see them when I login under my schedulers name. Can anyone explain that to me?

I have no experience with Instant Replays, but I imagine if I knew a schedular's login and password, I wouldn't be admitting it on an open forum.

BOB'S reply:

There is a logical reason why Dave and others, myself included, can use the scheduler's log-in information, but I do not know if that should be commented upon in a forum.
Seems strange to me, but I come from a world where IT security was paramount. Guess the MS world isn't so stringent.

Grif,

This is a unique situation that only exists for a specific client. So unique, that when originally sent the instructions, I never imagined what was occurring and read an entirely different meaning into the verbiage.
hmmm strange to me....but then.....lots of things are...
