Cirrus 360 - Payments

Hi yawl. I think I may have asked this question a few months back, but I can't find the post. Who has worked with Cirrus lately? Do you always have to contact them for your payment? They say that they pay after the 15th of the month, 4 months after a shop has been invoiced. (I already knew that.) But what irks me about them is that I have to send them an email every single time reminding them to pay me.

I'm done with them. It just doesn't make sense to me that it should take 4 months to pay an invoice. This is not good business.

What's been your experience with them.

My experience with Cirrus parallels yours, Maty. Once I am paid for the two shops I have done for them, I'm deactivating. There's something seriously wrong with them financially and otherwise. They're the only MSC I know of that takes that long to pay.
I agree with best..., Once I'm paid for the shop I did for four months ago, I'm done. I shop for two dozen companies and these guys are the worst by a mile. Never again!!!
Well, not sure if this is "good" or not, but I am in the same boat. I completed shops back in May and June ($250 worth) and have not been paid. I made the mistake of scheduling shops with them in August or September then canceled and realized I have no desire to do any more work for them until they pay me (actually, nothing after that either).

Anyone notice that the bonuses have been steadily increasing? I think other shoppers are also refusing to do any more shops, which is why (in my area, at least) they are having a hard time getting the shops assigned.
I did not realize their payment policy until today. Had I known that a horrible shop would take 3 or months to pay, I would not have done it.
Here's the pay schedule I was sent when I complained about slow pay/no pay. I still had to beg for a measly $20 shop fee which was not paid on time even with their crappy pay schedule:

Cirrus Marketing Intelligence pays via PayPal. See below for the approximate date, according to the month you shopped:

January paid mid-May
February paid mid-June
March paid mid-July
April paid mid-August
May paid mid-September
June paid mid-October
July paid mid-November
August paid mid-December
September paid mid-January
October paid mid-February
November paid mid-March
December paid mid-April
Hi,
Glad I joined the forum. I too am waiting for payment. I emailed the owner and was told the work I did in August would be paid in November. I asked for something in writng but never heard back. The Better Business Bureau is next.

See, they must've changed their pay schedule recently because I remember calling them back in August asking where my money was and was told that I would be paid in September for the shops I did in June.

I am so happy to find this forum because I've been looking for somewhere to warn other shoppers not to make the mistake of doing business with them. No amount of bonus is worth completing their shops when it's essentially "Hey, we'll pay you a $1,000,000 bonus in addition to this $50 shop; oh, that's right -- we don't plan on paying you anyway but we know you'll complete the shop and not realize until it's too late that not only will you not get that $1,000,000 but you won't even get the standard $50!
At least they're somewhat responsive then, MM. My bet is they can't find a shopper to do their work for poor pay for an unusually long time.
It looks like their wording changed, it used to read something like, 'after September 15' which apparently we all were supposed to know meant: mid October.

I have done only one shop for them and never again. I saw some discussion about the BBB, according to them, there have been no complaints. Perhaps its time for those on this list who are owed money from shops done months ago to start complaining to the BBB

I too have had an issue with Cirrus 360. I completed the "Big Blue Box" shop in June. While I'm on the subject, the shop is just not worth all the aggravation and paperwork. There's far more shops out there that require less work and give you better money.

Anyway, on to my gripe as others have had. I expected payment in mid September (according to their old schedule), then come to find out from the scheduler that the pay date is now one month later. First of all, I shop for at least 10-15 other companies, and NO ONE waits 4 months to pay their shoppers. I made 3 e-mail requests and a direct phone call request, and no one has yet responded to me. If I receive no response and more delayed payment, I will absolutely file a complaint with the BBB. If and as soon as I receive payment, my account with them is going deactivated. If you've never shopped for them before, you be better off looking for another company.

POST UPDATE - no sooner did I hit enter on this post, then I received payment from Cirrus. Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the oil. Nevertheless, I don't see any reason to do the same shop again.

Did a shop in May and they still haven't paid me. Asked me if I submitted an invoice when there was no indication of needing one in the instructions.
Cirrus always requires an invoice - not that it matters much. They pay late even if you submit one. I think they're one of the worst MSCs out there.

I finally got paid. It took another couple of calls, but the person who handles payments finally submitted one to me yesterday after I made what was going to be my last call (I was going to contact the BBB next). It took FIVE MONTHS to be paid for my shop in May and FOUR MONTHS to be paid for the ones in June. When I started (and when I checked in August), their website said payment was three months later so I don't know how legal it is to change that date to a later date arbirtrarily (I was never notified).

In any case, I have my money, and I will never shop for them again. Even if you're desperate for money, don't shop with Cirrus. It'll take FOREVER to get paid (and only if you ask about it, apparently).

Oh, and I never received any explanation or apology for the delay. No wonder no one wants to do their shops.
I'm so glad I checked this site since I just did a shop for them this past weekend. Based on everyone's experience I guess I won't be doing anymore shops with them.
I just did a shop for them a week ago. They begged and added a bonus, so I fit it in to my day. I received a follow up email from the site, so I forwarded that on to the person I was instructed to inform. Today...a full week later...I received an email asking if I had any follow up from the target. I responded, "Um, I emailed you the follow up" and the response was "Oh I was asking for OTHER follow up". Say what? She then tagged on that she was having to listen to the audio recording of the shop because she felt I didn't put enough detail in it. Anyone who has done these knows that the survey form is about 100,000 questions. I pretty much ignored that as if they hadn't waited more than a week to even look at the shop, I am guessing I could have answered any questions they had. I finally just flat out told the person that it was starting to seem like they were looking for a way to devalue the shop and pay me less than the agreed upon rate. She denied that, of course, but it was pretty obvious. But never again will I shop for them. Wasn't all that concerned about the 4th month pay cycle as I have a pretty steady stream coming in and keep track...but the issues with the person doing the review was something else. I am not going to do a shop that takes an hour of my time and deal with that!
Hate to say this, but a week for requesting some sort of follow up isn't bad at all. Many of us have seen requests much, much later.
I've had the exact same experience with Cirrus as everyone here. I started doing shops with them back in November 2013 and they actually owe me a couple hundred dollars in payments...which is making me nervous. I contacted Monnie Howard at the company and she keeps pushing the date back which I'm supposed to be paid. I am not doing any more shops with them until they pay me. Honestly, they seem to have a serious cash flow problem and I don't receive any sort of confirmation about the invoices I send to invoices@cirrusmktg.com every month.
WOW!!!!! Hope they read these messages, they need an eye opener.
They seem to be a thriving business with lots of shop opportunities but (ya) think they are growing on shoppers money.

If they want to keep good shoppers, they need to change their pay schedule...Five months is unacceptable.

Shoppers should ban together and complain to the BBB that they are withholding pay, does anyone know how this could be accomplished?

I came here looking for info on Cirrus payments and found that I'm not the only one who doesn't like their policy. First off, having to submit an invoice is archaic. Secondly, I can't get anyone to respond to my emails regarding the lack of payment. That's just lousy business. No more for me.
i just joined this forum and saw this post highlighted...OMG I didn't even know that is how their payment schedule was. I was just about to pick up the same shop again that I did for the past two months while I was updating my tracking lists. I was wondering why no one was doing this shop in my area when all others get picked up so fast from other companies. Well I guess I will only do shops for them when I am bored. Other than that to make money will not be happening.
