I gotta say this is my No. 1 gripe with MSCs. Some of the reviewers act like we are POS if we get a report in five minutes late yet it is no big deal if they don't pay on time. What is especially appalling to me is that a portion of the money is reimbursement for what we paid out of pocket that they basically got to use for 30 or 60 or 90 days interest free and then act like they are doing us a favor by cutting us a check to pay us back.
I got an email today from one of my least-favorite schedulers reminding me that they are up against a deadline on some shops due tomorrow and it is imperative that the shops get done and the reports are done on time. Well, you know what? Just maybe I need a check so that I can pay for the gas to go do those shops and purchase the products they want purchased. I don't know about anyone else, but my MS checks add up to several thousand dollars a month and a chunk of that is for reimbursements. I do have things to pay for other than going out to the boondocks to do shops no one else will take.
I guess I got spoiled by my first two MSCs, both of which pay like clockwork, MF and Maritz. I don't get the whole attitude that they are doing us a favor by paying us what they offered in the first place. And, I guess I'm just in a persnickety mood tonight.

I love mystery shopping. I really do. But I don't get the lack of professionalism by some of the companies.
