Did anyone get paid by Intelli-Shop today.

This is only my fifth month with them so based on previous experience I was expecting a payment hours ago. So far nothing.

Well, I wonder what's going on. I was expecting a check in the mail today also, I didn't even get a sales paper. LOL. I was starting to think maybe it was some kind of holiday that I didn't know about.
My log shows payments anywhere from the 20th to the 23rd of the month with most falling on the 20th and 21st.

At this point in the evening I wouldn't expect the payment until tomorrow.

I gotta say this is my No. 1 gripe with MSCs. Some of the reviewers act like we are POS if we get a report in five minutes late yet it is no big deal if they don't pay on time. What is especially appalling to me is that a portion of the money is reimbursement for what we paid out of pocket that they basically got to use for 30 or 60 or 90 days interest free and then act like they are doing us a favor by cutting us a check to pay us back.

I got an email today from one of my least-favorite schedulers reminding me that they are up against a deadline on some shops due tomorrow and it is imperative that the shops get done and the reports are done on time. Well, you know what? Just maybe I need a check so that I can pay for the gas to go do those shops and purchase the products they want purchased. I don't know about anyone else, but my MS checks add up to several thousand dollars a month and a chunk of that is for reimbursements. I do have things to pay for other than going out to the boondocks to do shops no one else will take.

I guess I got spoiled by my first two MSCs, both of which pay like clockwork, MF and Maritz. I don't get the whole attitude that they are doing us a favor by paying us what they offered in the first place. And, I guess I'm just in a persnickety mood tonight.

End of rant! smiling smiley I love mystery shopping. I really do. But I don't get the lack of professionalism by some of the companies.

There's a certain MSC that actually makes it a point to get the reimbursements back to shoppers within about two weeks, even if the shopper fee takes longer to pay out. I liked that when I saw it and I wish more companies worked like that.
Some actually pay super quick too. My last GFK shop was paid 6 days after I did it (and I forgot a photo and had to go back 3 days later, so it was 3 days after it was submitted). I did 2 shops for Mintel, one of which was last Monday and got the check today. Also did a shop for The Brand Group and was paid the next week. I wish every company was this quick!
