Cori Editors

Is it normal for the editors to take a week or longer to review a report? I have about 8 shops some 10 days old that haven't been "edited" yet. Most of the receipts haven't even been checked as received. Just checking to see that this is normal. The shops I have completed received scores of 5 but 8 that all still waiting are the same type with lots of documentation.

I'm interested getting into becoming an mystery shopping. I just need someone to guide and teach me the basics. Please feel free to contact me at (xxx)xxx-xxxx. Thank you in advance.

Moderator note: Holy Moses! Don't post your phone number on a public forum. That's only inviting trouble in the front door.
Most of my shops are edited and scored within hours, maybe a day or two. I had one shop recently that sat there, not reviewed, for about a week and a half. Finally I received an email saying it was on hold because they were confused about how a restaurant (fast casual) wouldn't have a bathroom. I reiterated in my reply that they did not, in fact, have a bathroom and this wasn't an error. I had a grade within an hour following my reply.

From what I've read on here, having the report scored with a few hours doesn't happen to everyone, even when there aren't errors. I think it just depends on the editors' workloads and deadlines.

Phone number removed by moderator

Welcome to the forum! If this is your real phone number, and I'm assuming it is, please remove it. You don't want strangers having your phone number smiling smiley

Begin by going to the "New Mystery Shoppers" forum (link at the bottom of this page). You'll find lots of information in the threads marked "Sticky." You can also post specific questions and we'll be glad to answer the best we can, as long as it's nothing that violates the agreements that we've all signed.

Good luck! Mystery shopping is hard work, but it can be very rewarding if you put in the time and effort smiling smiley

Hi, mssxie, welcome to the forum. We are a bunch of mystery shoppers who meet here to discuss our lives and mystery shopping, sort of the equivalent of an employee breakroom since mystery shopping is such a solitary profession. No one gets paid for participating although a lot of us do spend time sharing information and answering questions, sort of like community service. Everything here is free but it is self-service. Feel free to pull up a chair and read and learn from all that has been posted here. The New Mystery Shopper area has several threads designed to help a new mystery shopper get started.

Since there is no charge to register and it costs nothing to ask a question, there is no one-on-one assistance. There are books available and there are a couple of sites that provide more assistance, although they are not free. If you want more customized assistance and you are willing to pay a fee, that may be an option. I can think of about 5. They charge between $29.99 and $45. Of course, I would advise you to do it yourself by reading on this forum where everything is FREE.

I would advise you to remove your telephone number. This is an open internet forum and there is no telling the spam and scammers who may contact you.

There's a great list at the bottom of the page, Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies, to sign up with.
if you are shops aren't green checked with cori within 48 hours then
you should contact the scheduler for it since there is likely an issue
that you can clear up for them right away rather then wait weeks
for them to get around to sending out the clarifacation email
