I saw a listing for an "XXXX Drive Thru" located a few miles from me. (The pay wasn't great, but I drive past that restaurant 2-3 times a week anyway).
Once I "confirmed acceptance" I was allowed to view the full details of the job.
I see that this job is NOT a "Drive Thru".
It requires a drive thru purchase with the usual data to be noted (timing responses etc.)
_PLUS_ requires you to park, go inside and make more notes inside the restaurant about prices, appearance etc.
>>> I cancelled this shop immediately.
Later that evening, I received a "approved & scheduled for this assignment" email from TS.
>>> I replied and cancelled the shop AGAIN.
Today I receive an email with a subdued threat from TS:
{"You have received this email because you are currently assigned to a project (listed below) for the XXXX Mystery Program. So far, you have NOT yet chosen a date for completion. Please click on ‘Choose Dates’ on the project link, the dates to choose between are Sat 11/02 – Sun 11/10.
****If you have NOT yet chosen a date by 8 AM (PST) Mon 11/04, one will be chosen for you. If that date goes past due and we do not hear from you, it will be removed as a negative drop."}
>>> I replied to their email and cancelled the shop for a THIRD TIME.
I have been mystery shopping for over 3 years with various companies. Market Force is my favorite as they: answer emails very quickly, really work with you if a job needs to be rescheduled, and always responds to my emails (even if I am cancelling!) with a sincere note of appreciation for notifying them.
The job requirements (& questionaaires) list exactly the information they need for your completed report.
I have only had a total of 4 jobs rejected by Market Force and every one was totally my own error. (Ordering the wrong item, or completing a Drive IN that was supposed to be a Drive THRU lol!)
TS on the other hand, will require (much!) more information than was revealed in the original job description. (Beware of the "Big Name Brand Printer" shopping scenario. The final report is about 7 pages longer than the questionaaire given for the job!)
TS also requires you to literally stay on your computer after you submit a report "in case they have any questions"; and they almost always do!
Example: You submit a completed report to TS on Monday evening. On Tuesday, you complete new jobs, come home and submit the new shop reports. Wednesday morning when you check your emails; you could find a snitty note from TS stating that they tried to contact you with a question, but you did not respond quickly enough and so TS will post negative points to your status. GGGRRRRR!
If you plan to work with TS; you will be scrambling constantly to keep up with everything they expect.
Moderator note: Hi Olim, and welcome to the forum! In the future, please do NOT name specific clients of an MSC. It violates the ICA agreement you agreed to when you signed up with them, and it also violates one of the very few rules of this forum. You can give generalizations, such as what I edited your post to; but not the specific client names. Thank you!
