A little payback from Intellishop?

Sunny, did you actually send that or was it just for our benefit?

I admire all of the lofty talk about not caring about the score as long as you get paid, but, unfortunately, I'm cut from a different cloth. (That's how I would like to be, but can't get there.)

Bottom line: They have such narrative-heavy shops and expect perfection for relatively low pay. My goal is to submit flawless and professional reports, which, of course, is quite time consuming, due to all of the narrative. Then, for them to arbitrarily deduct TWO points because they had to contact me, has convinced me to stop shopping for them.

They win, but they lose.

(heart)

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

Unfortunately you lose also because you might be passing up some good shops that can earn you money. Their base pay is typically low for the amount of work but you can sometimes get decent bonuses that make it worthwhile.
I consistently get the 8's from intelli because my punctuation or sentence structure is not perfect. I have learned to live with it but I get actually "mad" which is very unlike me when I see the 2 points deducted because we had to contact you. SORRY BUT CONTACTING ME TO ASK CLARIFICATION QUESTIONS IS YOUR JOB. If you can't understand something plainly written out and you want to confirm it again I should not be penalized.
I will continue to do business with them but do they really want to alienate the mystery shopping community over this type of thing? I beg of any of the intelli peeps that read these forums please get rid of the 2 point deduction for contacting people. Its ridiculous. Take the 2 points from the REASON you had to contact them if its valid.

Hmm do I have any shops with them coming up? Nope .. ah good I wont have to worry about reprisals if indeed that is happening.

~~Please remember that there are real people reading and writing these posts. We were made imperfect for some reason~~

I dunno, Mary. I've only been here two years and you seem pleasantly mysterious to me! ;-)

Well, you have made it very clear. You no longer want to do any of these shops. I guess you are done. Companies of any kind do not like it when you complain to them. If you did not want to go out at midnight, then why did you go? Desperation is a very strange thing!

The grades on Sassie mean nothing. Its all subjective - if you do not flake your average can be 5 and they will assign. The schedulers care about clearing their decks and are mainly looking to see if you flaked.

The grades --------------------no worries
Everything is a learning experience. Some companies do not rate shops. You never hear anything back. I prefer a report on my report.

When you get to know me, you'll notice I write a lot of satire smiling smiley

I did not write that to an actual scheduler (just made it up as I went along) but I do have the "cajones" to say my mind, much to the detriment of myself, lol, and yes, I have written some "blasters" to my supervisers when treated unfairly..

Rarely has it come back to bite me, more-so, it improves my relationship with my bosses and I often get an apology.

Intellishop is poison for this industry.

Within the last couple years they have been "stealing" clients from other MSPs, then offering those shops with usually more requirements, longer stays, etc for half the fee the former MSPs offered. They care nothing about their shoppers and they are growing like a cancer, so they can do whatever they please with their fees, people needs money, so they will get down.

I wish they filed backrupcy and banished from the MSing industry.

Funny!
Welcome back Astral. This post is just the Reader's Digest version of your first post back in January. Would you care to stick around and share some of your knowledge regarding the other MSCs you have worked with over the last seven years?

I am totally confused by your post ishopalot. You have been here for two years yet you just registered 36 hours ago? Have you been able to just read the forum without registering all this time? I'm curious because others have complained they could not see anything without registering first.

Check out their dazzling website! Has little clips of shops - the retail one was awefull (dress) - I could not imagine any of us ladies going clothes shopping without really having a notion -or care -at all-of a color we were looking for! Show me everything! Cracked me up!

I did like that it had pics of some of the staff - gives a sense of some connections!
Yes Lisa, I will stick around smiling smiley

99% of the other MSPs have been good to me, never had major flaws, but will share some of my good experiences smiling smiley Specially Video Shopping companies are top for me smiling smiley

I just thought... O M G when Intellyshop starts video shopping... may God have mercy of our Souls!!!! $25 for a New Home Video shop... plus $5 for every 100 miles drive! Wait and see, LOL.
Get ready to pick yourself up off the floor. Intellishop has been into video shopping for quite a while now. Their fees are actually comparable to other shops in the same industries and travel can be negotiated.

I was at first too... then realized (s)he just isn't aware of, or doesn't know how to use, the 'Quote' features for posts. (S)he is quoting NSSGuy's post (the part about Mary being mysterious), and then adding their commentary, "Funny!"

I think the post from ishopalot, right after yours that I quoted here, is also like this. The first paragraph is something someone else wrote, the second paragraph something ishopalot wrote.

It *is* rather confusing without using the 'Quote' thingie.

As to seeing stuff without registering... I could swear that I was able to read stuff here before I registered, back whenever I registered. I think that was 2011? I just couldn't post without registering. Being able to read stuff here is what made me decide to register, as I recall. smiling smiley

Ah, I didn't see that post up higher. It seems I was able to read without registering a few years ago. Since then someone complained of having to register. I have recently tried without logging in and couldn't really see anything.

My computer erased all my saved passwords earlier this week. (updated Norton!) I was able to see everything without being logged in. It just said if I wanted to reply to a post, I need to be logged in.
I can't remember for sure, but I think I could read posts on the forum before I registered. Just couldn't reply or post new topics....

Oh no! What a complete PITA. sad smiley

Interesting you could see the posts here, though. Because like Lisa, I thought I remember someone complaining about having to register just to see posts, a while back; now that she mentioned it. Maybe *that* was some temporary board glitch? Hmmm.

I know Googlebot sees the posts without having to log in. I'm not sure about humans, though.
I'm on my laptop along with my desk top, which I never log into anything on, using windows 7, and can see everything. It says Join our community on top, and under your posting it says
" Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum"

I was able to read posts before registering. Actually posting required me to register. I have recommended the forum to at least 8 people. Three of them read here but have yet to register and so they do not post, of course. But I know they are able to read the posts, because all 3 have called and e-mailed me to ask questions about posts they read here.
So I'm not losing my mind? (Well, at least not about my recollection on being able to read before I was registered....) That's good to know!

You can Google "Intellishop Sucks" and Google will pick up this forum. If you click on the subject, it will open up this page.
I'm glad it's not just me. Their starting pay is asisine and the bonuses are almost non-existent nowadays. Yet, shoppers keep scooping all the shops for below minimum wage work.

I haven't done a shop with them in six months and dread checking their job board. It's too depressing to see offers basically saying, "Want to work like a slave for peanuts?"
Come to think of it, I haven't done any shop for them since this last January. But I did a number of them and have an average
of 9, all the 10s brought down by some 8s because of the usual reason. I remember doing some very interesting shops for them in my early days, but I bet not as exciting as Optikdave's "I evaluated the big erection in NYC and must say if you visit NYC , do it!"
My wife does most of the shops for Intelli-shop. She does them when we need an oil change or there's a travel shop close with a bonus on them or one on our route. Honestly, they are not one of my preferred shopping companies.
