I have completed assignments for Goodwin. They have some good clients. You can self assign shops and they pay promptly,
Promptly? I don't know if I'd go *that* far. Let's just say you no longer have to send 'reminder' emails after waiting for your money for 90 days. Now they usually get it to you around 60 days +/-, with no 'reminder'. smiling smiley

They have been paying according to their announced schedule for many, many months now, without reminders.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
My payments from Goodwin have always arrived as promised. Additionally, I find them to be pleasant and willing to "bonus" distance jobs. Never had a problem with them, and I will continue to shop as jobs become available in my area.
I've only done two shops for them, but got paid for the first on the 43rd or 44th day after the shop. I think they say if you haven't gotten paid by 45 days after the shop, to contact them.

I had my second shop scheduled with them, due shortly after that 45-day timeframe from the first shop, and swore I'd cancel it if I didn't get my payment before that second shop. Got it two days before, so I did the shop. Not expecting payment for a couple more weeks, though.

Yes, they have; but that's still 60 days last I heard... right? I think? Sixty days still just doesn't feel prompt to me, even if that *is* their agreed-upon pay timeframe. I don't think I'd seen/heard about the 45 day thing. If that's the case, I can send a 'reminder' email right now for a couple shops, I think.

But yes, I'm glad you don't have to wait 90 days and the send the reminder email. Once I sent the 'reminder' on the 88th day, and they told me to wait 90 days. Heh. So, I wondered if perhaps they meant "wait 90 days", and I would get the payment in my account. Nope. I waited two extra days, and still nothing. So another 'reminder' email. I guess they meant, when I emailed them on day 88, that I was to wait to send my 'reminder' until the full 90 days. A bit ridiculous!

However, I still like the shops I do for them (a lot, actually) and the people I've actually 'talked' (emailed) to. And will gladly continue shopping with them. smiling smiley

Congratulations! So, that was about 45 days, right? I can't remember "where" I read about that timeframe, but I found it somewhere on their site, I think. If they stick to that, that's probably a decent amount of time--at least compared to some!

I shop for two companies that pay on the 20th of the month for the previous month, so I try to do their shops toward the middle to end of the month so I'm not waiting much longer than 45 days.... Longer than that is just "too long."

Yeah, almost exactly 45 days, actually.

I must have missed the thing on their website about the 45 days, last I knew it was 60. I only learned about the 45 day thing here! smiling smiley

There's a couple I shop for that pay two months out. September shops in November, October in December, etc. I don't mind *too* much, although sometimes it does feel like forever. However, the one set of shops is apartments, so no cash outlay on my part, only time; and the other is grocery shops, things I'd be having to spend money on anyway. And those grocery shops often end up with good bonuses on them, in some outlying towns around me. smiling smiley

I "gotta" find me some grocery shops, since I seem to live at the grocery store. With two teen-aged boys in the house, I'm running for cereal, milk, bread, etc., all the time (or so it seems).

I have three main ones, and a couple of occasional ones. I love 'em! I'm just annoyed that for two of them, the rotation went back to 90 days. At first, for those two stores, it was 30 days. Then 60. Then 90. Then after a while, 60 again. Then back down to 30. Then suddenly back up to 90. I may have a couple of iterations off, but you get the idea. I *SO* wish they were 30 day rotations again!

Since it's not at all odd to be in a grocery store every 30 days, it must be so that you're not memorable by asking so many questions, and/or so they get different perspectives. Which I guess I get. I just love my grocery shops! A couple of them are even 'flat fee', and some are mostly reimbursement; but that's OK, because I need to buy those anyway... so grocery reimbursements are as good as pay. smiling smiley

I had a co-worker/friend some time ago who had nine kids. Those gigantic Costco bags of fish sticks were one single Friday night dinner for her house! Mine was in the freezer a few months. smiling smiley Imagine buying those big-ass bags of food, and having them only last *one* meal! Sheesh!

But then I've had dogs in the double digits in my past, and would go to Costco to get 160 to 200 pounds of dog food at a time. For each month. Heh. smiling smiley

Yes, I'm familiar with this company. It has many shops in the hospitality industry and has been around for a while. Shoppers have many good things to say about the schedulers. However, it also has a well earned reputation of paying slowly, i.e. beyond the promised payment date and often after the shopper has chased the payment. In recent times there have been suggestions that they are improving with payment times. However, there are also indications that they still have a way to go to be called a company that pays like "clockwork."

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
On the one shop I did for them, I did not have to chase my payment. I would gladly take another shop with Goodwin.
Their shops in this area are not high paying but they're quick and easy and usually taste good. I've done half a dozen shops for them in the past 5 months and haven't had a problem with payment yet.

I agree they're not high paying--at least none of the ones in my area have been! But, if you want a pizza or pretzel or ice cream and don't mind doing a pretty simple report, they work for me!

They've got a pretzel shop with a $3 bonus on it up now, but the problem is the location is about 20 minutes away--by the time I drive, spend gas money, and purchase four pretzels, I'd lose money! I'd do it if it were right down the street, though!

They're definitely somewhat cheap. Not worth my effort unless I'm there and want a free paid lunch and it's bonused.
Goodness. I decided to go back and apply, since I feel like I see so much posted about them - even though I had to write a new 'narrative' I don't have on file for shop apps. It took SIX tries to submit it - didn't like my email address, didn't like the format I put the phone number in, didn't like my town, didn't like the verification code I typed in, didn't like my email address again...then finally, success! lol. Man, I appreciate simple applications winking smiley.

LA
I only do shops for them if I'm already going to be in the area. All the food shops I've seen are just flat fees and I would end up taking home $2 or $3. Not worth it in many cases. Though, it's pretty good for when I want to add a lunch break when doing a day of shopping. No issues with payment, though they take a bit longer than other companies.
