I wonder if the issue is with the report. There is so much nice spelling and grammar in your post above.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
The owner is on this board and usually will respond. What channels have you gone through?
Can you post details about the situation? Do you know that your report was accepted? Do you know if they sent payment, but it somehow did not make it into your hands? I have yet to do a shop with Sentry, so I am curious as to this situation.
I'm sure my good friend Dave will be along shortly to remedy this situation.

Does anyone know the payment schedule for Sentry? I can't seem to find it but I'm thinking my payment isn't late. I did the shop the first of November and my account states payment pending.
Looking at my record, they pay approx. 60 days. I was paid on March 21 for my Jan. 7th shop, etc. The last shop I did was on Oct. 17th and I received the check on Dec. 20th.

Thanks Cubbiecat it was my first shop with them and I enjoyed it. Hoping they get more in my area.
I signed with them a while ago, took the tests that they had available for clients in my area. I see jobs on one of the bulk job boards but when I go to apply at the website...... I am never eligible for visits in my area??? I don't understand it?

I'm not a big fan of Sentry Marketing, but if I'm reading Homebound's post correctly, and he is actually owed $2000 from Sentry, then who REALLY is the @$$? Not Sentry. It sounds like one of those town criers, as Shop mentions, who come on the forum make one blast and then leave.
I have never had a late payment from Sentry and the communication has been great. My question is this, how could anyone do enough work to warrant $2000 being owed??? Wow! That must have been a huge cross country route of $4 shops!
I think the OP is trying to convince us that he is a shopper with a lot of experience. His $2,000 number appears to me to be stating that he has earned a total of $2,000 from all the companies for which he has worked. It is unclear to what job(s) he has done for Sentry. In fact, he provides no information about his interaction with Sentry except that he has been unable to reach them by phone and E-mail.
I feel when newcomers come here and start off their first post with this bashing, I believe they're trouble makers or trolls.

There is a way to post a legitimate beef..certainly not like what I've been seeing lately.
I was first made aware of this situation yesterday afternoon after the OP responded to an email from one of our schedulers stating his dissatisfaction and his intent to contact the client.

The OP has completed one assignment for us. The date of that assignment was 10/31/2013 and the shop was accepted on 11/1/2013. Payment for this assignment was processed yesterday, 12/29/2013. This is within our payment policy.

I searched our ticketing system and support email account and could not find any contact from this shopper. I searched our phone records and found that this shopper contacted us twice on 12/20/2013.

It is true that we do not handle payment inquiries over the phone. This is becuase the vast majority of payment inquiries require some degree of reserach in order for us to provide an accurate response. In fact, we are now handling all shopper questions though our ticketing system so that these inquiries don't get lost.

HB1961, you have burned your bridges with this company. If you haven't received payment You can kiss it goodbye or see it surely dwindle down to pittance. In case you don't know why or what for, it is your TONE, TONE, and ATTITUDE. Bad behavior will follow you. Take the $2000 that you have already collected and get some therapy.

SM has responded to you but all that is worth, they probably did not need to on this forum, because you were in the wrong. Apparently it looks like you scammed SM. They thought you were someone you were not. Shame on youtongue sticking out smileyangry smileytongue sticking out smileyangry smiley

This is how I see things.
First of all, I doubt we will ever hear from Homebound again. Like I said in an earlier post, just a one hit wonder. And if I am wrong, I'm wrong. There are bigger issues in my world to worry about.

Second, and I am speaking in GENERAL and NOT to anyone specifically but there has been an overall nastiness lately in this forum. And many times, it is coming from what some refer to as the more "seasoned shoppers." I think the stress of the holidays has really taken its toll on some people. Or maybe it is the bad weather in certain parts of the country.

The new year is just around the corner. So everyone needs to grab a glass of champagne and chill. Or take a vacation in a warmer climate. Just don't come to Florida; we already have enough snowbirds here! ;-)

P.S. Before the snowbirds get their feathers ruffled, notice the lighthearted winking face at the end of my last paragraph.

Seems to me that every time this company comes up in the forum for discussion an administrator/representative comes in and answers. For me (and this is my opinion) this is a sign that there is some one there paying attention and working hard in his/her business.

Honestly, you can't make everyone happy all the time. When something goes wrong the best possible way to go about it is PROFESSIONALLY. This was clearly not the way to approach the situation. Anyone that has spent any time researching this forum will see that trying to post rude statements about any MSC is not the way to handle anything.

I treat this as a business... I file taxes, pay bills, plan schedules and keep track of everything. I have also done this long enough to know that $2000, although not impossible, is very unlikely with just one company for one month.

To come into this forum and make a first post like this is just hurting yourself. First, you will never work for this company again (which may be fine with you) but second... if you think that there aren't other MSC monitoring these boards and seeing you utterly unprofessional way of handling this situation, especially threatening to call the client (big, BIG no-no), you have now ousted yourself and potentially killed your future job opportunities. You should just hope that they don't figure out who you are but I am hoping that you will find another job.

Again, this is my opinion....

Personally, I love Sentry. Easy to work with, pays on time, decent pay.

Kathee, I'm just wondering: how would a MSC know who is posting here? How would another MSC company know who Homebound is and refuse to hire him/her? That makes me nervous if I am just trying to network with other shoppers in a business where companies come and go and knowledge is power. Thanks.

They know who the shopper is after posting here because of the details in the post. Also, shoppers may choose to disclose their name when creating a profile or use part or all of their name as their user ID.
Some shoppers who haven't disclosed their names use a forum handle which matches their mystery shopping email addy. My handle isn't exactly made for hiding out, but if my email for all the MSCs was then LisaSTL@abc.com how hard would it be to figure out.

I made that mistake when choosing my handle here... it's part of my shopping email address! So if I have an issue with a company, I make damned sure I choose my words carefully and remain totally objective in it's presentation... if I present it at all!

However, I always do (and always have done) that when posting about something in public. I get my irritation out by @#$%& to Dad about it, then sit down and type something objective and reasonable. smiling smiley

In fact, one of the times I did present an 'issue' here, someone from the MSC contacted me, and mentioned that they appreciated my objective presenting of the matter and that I didn't get all bent out of shape. They also handled the issue for me right away.

So yes, they are watching. Think of the "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" song. smiling smiley

I'm good with any MSC knowing who I am. If I am deactivated, or some such thing, because of an honest posting, so be it. I don't lie, cheat or encourage others to do the same, so, let the chips fall where they may.
Isn't it nice to know your reasoned presentation of the facts resulted in a positive outcome?

I am not saying that they can immediately know who you are, this is just a forum and it only uses screen names as most of the internet based activities do. There are ways, as SecretAgentMom and LisaSTL have described that would be "all telling". My screen name is obvious as I try to conduct myself as a human in all that I do whether that is on a professional based forum (which I consider this to be) or a fun site like Facebook or Pogo ( I love Pogo).

My philosophy is simple.... If you don't want anyone to know then don't do it!

If this post had been at all legitimate, the poster should have maybe introduced him/herself and explained the situation, not come in here like a raving maniac, not disguising themselves and not posting one post and then.... nothing.

And just an added thought, (my opinion/observation), if a person has a screen name HOMEBOUND.... how in the heck are you making $2k a month??? That's a lot of phone calls!!! (Of course the screen name could mean a lot of things other than being home bound but it was something that popped into my head and I did giggle a little.)

I completely agree with Cindy; she has concisely expressed herself and done so in a succinct manner. She's definitely my kind of woman.

Well, the original poster didn't say anything about $2k a month. He or she said that the cumulative pay of all the mystery shopping companies he or she has worked for, in his or her entire career, had been $2k. It could have been over 30 years, for all we know.
