CoRI Gas Shops

I have never, in all my years, done a gas station shop. Not sure why. I saw that CoRI has them, but they say you have to buy $1 worth of gas? REALLY?

Yup, that is why the shops are such a joke and you hear chatter about gas cans to collect gas "for the lawnmower". Obviously the generosity of CoRI and/or the client knows bounds.
I'm only able to laugh when the fee is bonused, then it's humorous trying to pump a buck into the can. Take your one gallon can, not your five - unless you've bonused a routesmiling smiley
I have done several of these. I usually wait for them to get bonused to at least $10. It's ok they only reimburse $1 for the gas. I only pump about $5 worth and I figure I get a 20% discount + the fee. This is something I need either way, so I don't mind not getting fully reimbursed.

I haven't seen any other unrevealed gas station shops in this area, so I am stuck with these I guess.
The problem with these for me is that I am in NJ. We don't have "self-serve" at all, so I would literally have to pull up and say "$1.00 please." Not sure how much that even comes out to, but here gas is about $2.50 a gallon. It's laughable!
$2.50 a gallon for full service? I don't even know where a full service station is around here, but back in the old days, full service cost more. That was where all the cute boys workedsmiling smiley
We are running between $2.41 at membership places and $2.63 at isolated stations around town. But none of them offer full service. There is one location mid-price that for the handicapped has a button on the pump to push for the station attendent to come out and pump gas. Irony is that it is far enough set back from the curb you would have to use your cane to punch the button or get out of the vehicle.
We still have a few Full Serve locations here in Alabama. They are a dying breed. Just got back from one of those $1 gas shops. (It was bonused @$14)
Time to crank the lawnmower!,,,winking smiley

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.

At the full serve gas stations, you do not purchase gas. You are only reimbursed $1.00 for your in-store purchase, and all pump observations are made from a distance.
Just did one of these yesterday bonused to $29.26. Didn't even mind that the gas price was 10-12 cents higher than everywhere else. Put $6 worth of gas in the tank and drove away with $20+ in my pocket.
