shopper's critique?

Just out of curiosity what does everyone think of Shoppers Critique? Love them or hate them? I think both. They pay reasonably quick via PayPal but the editors are very critical and want extremely detailed narratives on some of the shops. I question myself if they are worth the trouble for the amount paid per shop. I mainly do phone shops for them by the way. Opinions?? smiling smiley

My wife does a popular clothing shop for them. First shop she was ready to throw in the towel when they came back wanting specific details, but now she does every one she can get and loves it. If their guidelines were better detailed as to what they want it might be better, but once she got used to knowing what they were looking for she hasn't had a problem. Pay is pretty quick too.

Silver Certified on the Carolina Coast. You want fries with that?
I very often get an editor request for more information, which is annoying, because usually they ask for information not originally requested on the shop report. I primarily shop the mailing services chain for them, and find the shop requirements easy and straightforward. Plus, I have a stockpile of greeting cards and stamps from the purchase requirement. I love the candy store, when I can find it in my area.

The harder I work, the luckier I get.
I like to do a certain local BBQ restaurant. It pays a large reimbursement based upon the menu prices and requirements. I don't even like meat but like the food here. If I order on my dime, I generally will get a house salad and a side such as fries so I can eat the BBQ sauces. On their dime, I get a whole entree of ribs or whatever my boyfriend wants. I then eat the sides as I normally do and he eats some of the ribs to look like I ate some. Then we box the rest of the food up and he has dinner for the next day.

The report is a little detailed but not much more than other restaurants I have done (kind of reminds me of the large Texas BBQ chain shop that another MSC has).

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
These guys are one of my favorite MSCs to shop for. Very responsive schedulers and editors. Straightforward guidelines and shop reports. Fast, decent pay. Often offer me bonuses without me having to ask. I normally do retail shops for them. I have done a couple phone shops and found them easy but the pay too low compared to other MSCs.
Yes they do want details but I don't find the editors to be overly critical or nitpicky.
I like Shoppers Critique, nearly 90% of what I do for them involves a big casino shop with a $50 food reimbursement + $30 for gaming & $25 bonus on top. Strange thing is, the questions, which never change, are always about running into 10 employees with an obsession on who spoke first, did they use my name, etc.

I am happy to do the shop but please tell me how a custodian I see in the men's restroom is going to know my name? Sure I can see the Pit Boss with my player's card or the cashier at a restaurant who looks at my card using my name but it seems that some other categories of personnel are always going to be scored lower based on the metrics which are applied to all job positions equally. I'll have to admit, it took a couple of shops before I really got the hang of what they were wanting in the report but now...love to do them.

I look forward to these each month and even base my trips around those dates when I get the best coupons from the Casino. I do wish they had more projects in my neck of the woods.

I've done a few. I can take them or leave them. Their editors are picky and often ask for information that was not originally asked for on the report....but they pay on time and the reports aren't too bad--longer than they need to be but not horribly so. I generally only do them when they are "well" bonused.
