Re: Stericycle

So is it me or does 11 emails on the same shops in 13 minutes make you want to never work for that company again. I mean I have a delete button but I don't need more than one email. Just venting thanks

If i was a Hispanic person who is interested in fishing supplies, I'd answer. This was popping up in my inbox every 30 minutes. I had to toggle a MSC to stop sending me emails already.

The sad thing is, they have the fact I'm not Hispanic on file already. They should use a filter and offer jobs to only people in the right demographic profile and area. I'm begining to get the impression this is going to be the normal way some MSC's operate.
I didn't get any of those emails. At first I thought maybe it was because they don't have any in my location, but then I realized the emails I did get from them were all offers in other states. Go figure.
I find that I can delete emails faster by highlighting the first one and holding down the delete key. It scrolls really fast and POOF they're gone.

I can't work for them anymore, my computer seems to be allergic to IE and I refuse to have their reports constantly erased when I hit enter.

Motivation increases when we assume large responsibilities with a short deadline.
I got into it with them over a barrage of emails for a certain bookstore shop Wednesday. I was near one of them, the desperation level was increasing, I was willing to go do the shop, but I couldn't find the shop on the board. Four emails in 45 minutes. I finally sent them a note saying I couldn't find any of that shop on the board; I thought maybe they had some glitch and the shops weren't showing up. Naively thought they might want to look into it.

I was told if I didn't meet the age requirement I wouldn't be able to see it.

I have never before gotten emails from them for shops I couldn't see on the board. I suspect they used to screen on qualification and aren't any more.

The scheduler was really snarky with me when I suggested, quite politely, that they should put the age requirement in the email and told her about all the time I wasted searching repeatedly with different criteria trying to find the shop they were begging me to do. She then claimed that "everyone else" knew that if a shop wasn't visible it meant they didn't meet the age requirement. Yeah. Right. Everyone but me knew by osmosis that this would cause a shop not to show up. I suspect most people just didn't care enough to pursue it to bother saying anything about it.

Those emails now do contain the age restriction information. So I guess my suggestion wasn't such a bad idea after all. But the barrage has continued, and I've had sets of four emails in a row on other of their shops in the last two days. If they don't stop soon I'll cut off emails from them.

And that snarky scheduler can go pound sand the next time she needs a shop done as far as I'm concerned. That MSC has really gone downhill since Stericycle took over.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Yes they have gone down hill. They send out jobs all over Texas as if I drive a hover craft paid for by the govt and can do a shop for $8 245 miles away! They are a lot cheaper now after the take-over.
I haven't done anything in a while for them. The rate of pay they offer is not even worth me glancing at their job board until the end of the month. Even then I don't see anything worth my time. The fact they still use IE and the stupid time/date stamp on every little thing you upload can only rival Maritz and their ancient way of doing things (and slow website...ugggg.)

O.o o.O

Happily shopping New England and beyond!!!!!
I used to do a lot of work for them but since they lost two major clients I don't even check their job boards anymore. I'm guessing they lost a lot of shoppers.
I'm in the same boat. They used to have a client I loved doing shops for. They lost that client, and they basically have nothing now that I'm interested in.

I do miss taking those tests, however.

I don't know if you were being facetious or not but I love those tests and take them even if I don't plan on doing the shops.
Color me weird. :p

I thought it was just my reports that keep getting erased! I hate using IE! I always have a problem entering these reports and I am tired of doing them over and over again. They pay fast and work with you, but they have to let us use other operating systems.
I agree with the whole 'if you're not qualified, it shouldn't show up for you' - like I just posted about my problem with them regarding some of the tobacco compliance shops. I used to do tons of those all over and for a lot of MSC, and now I'm pushing outside the age range but some still take up to 27-30 range.

If i'm not eligible for them, get them off my board. And you know, have the requirements right too.
I also used to work with them, but not any more. Not worth the effort. They pay too little and ask for too much info.
Kathee70, you and I are both probably driving past hundreds of their shops in the course of a week. I refuse to use a separate camera to do those low paying jobs just so I can prove the day and time I took the photo. It is interesting that they lost a major client and that requirement went away. If the MSC removed the requirement I would definitely consider including the ones I am driving by already.

Shopping with class in Mass!
Oh man I just signed up with them. I do love their tests, they are super easy. Now after reading this I am rethinking it. I will try to do one or two shops and see how it goes.
BTW, thanks for all the info :-)
