Nonpayment from Confero

Wow....

I received a second email from the President, Elaine Buxton.

In the email she states....

"Please claim your payment issued on 10/28. Your shopper profile has two extra letters behind your email address. Not sure how that happened, but your email address must have been showing this way in your shopper profile on the day we sent this payment to Paypal. The automated system sent your payment to paypal showing that address on 10/28. The funds are available for you to claim using this transaction # <hidden> until 11/28. "

Anyone else have two extra letters added to their paypal email address at Confero????? It was the same email Paypal address used to successfully pay me for several years through Confero. But suddenly on 10/28, when the payment is being made, the email address is wrong.... like the address was wrong for the 30-year-old bank account, and the emails were never received.

The real kicker.... I went to paypal to claim the payment, and I was told

Unauthorized Use of PayPal Account or Transaction Error Error Message The following Transaction IDs are not valid:

In other words, the information provided will never link me to a claim for my money because the claim number provided through the email from the President of Confero is invalid.

I waded through enough crap trying to get my payments. I can't believe I've hit a brick wall again. And, to be deceived again....

Shopper Payments

At 5:50 PM I just spoke to Kevin (ID # 47145) at Paypal via telephone number 888-221-1161 .

Kevin did some research, and he stated the transaction does exist. He also states it is impossible for me to claim the money. (Why am I surprised???) Only you can reverse the payment to the wrong address and re-issue a payment to the right email address.

If you have questions, he said for you to call him at that number and he will explain the process to you.

Have a good day....
I just want to close the chapter on this thread. I received payment via Paypal after Confero reversed the incorrect email payment and posted the amount to my correct email address.

well if it were ME it would be BOTH
What a nightmare.

Glad it finally got resolved. I'm guessing some kind of hiccup occurred in the database to mess up your email address, which both kept you from getting the Paypal payment and from getting their emails about it. I just looked at my own profile and the email address is only in there once so both the payment and the emails would have gone to the same incorrect address.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Is anyone else having a glitch in their SASSIE profile page ? Check closely where your last name or email address is located. It is the boxes just above the SSN field boxes.

I have noticed that a few of my shopper profile databases specifically for SASSIE MSCs suddenly keep asking me to redo my password, even if I am just changing my demographics when I click save. Which is fine, I like the added security. BUT I caught out of the corner of my eye that suddenly my email address flipped to my last name. I go back in and redo my profile again and the same thing happens. I have told the MSCs only to have it fall on deaf ears. I am concerned that my PayPal or other payment methods or email job notices will be delayed. Or worse, like the previous poster who is being denied through PayPal until MSCs resends.

It was interferring with one MSC in particular and they have the email flipping in the last name box field and vice versa. It's like something is messed up in the programmers code. I think they need to look at those people who were involved in web design for the Presto maps.

I noticed a few of these weirdnesses after the launch of the Presto map in the email links. So I researched their site. I believe it is the same company for SASSIE which also uses JSP connection program. I have been a subscriber for years and never had a problem like this.

I posted several days ago a problem where my non-Shopping email kept showing up on the apply to job page ( where you can tell it to remember it, to log in to self-assign faster). I will have to check, I think that one was Intellishop. I will make a list of the MSCs SASSIE profile pages that are glitchy in my next post.
I dunno, as soon as I "hear" the phrase of "proactively reaching out", my internal radar is up and running on over drive. That's just a tad too new age business BS for me. She could say she wrote back?
Just an update from me. I had sent a final notice email to Confero payroll and to the schedulers that my next step was going to be the BBB. I received my payment today.

I hope this was just a glitch but it was annoying because I spent so many hours over a couple of months to get this straightened out. I am now hesitant to shop for them.
I too am having a payment issue with Confero. I've never had a problem with them before. My shop log states that the particular shop from September was paid by Paypal or Direct Deposit in October. The payment is not showing up in my Paypal or bank account. I contacted the Confero person through the messaging tool and received no response. A few days later, sent another but this time received an email saying she no longer worked at Confero and the message would be forwarded. No response again! Today I left a voice mail at the company, but after reading these messages, I don't hold much hope for a resolution. I'm not so sure I want to do the next shop I have scheduled with them in December. I hope Confero can pull their act together because I really enjoyed their shops.

I have recently started doing some mystery shopping again. I am just a "casual" shopper. I did a shop fro Confero on 10/2 and submitted the report and receipt on time. I received an email from Confero on 10/6 stating that my report had been received, but I did not include a narrative for the question "4. Did the server offer his/her name?" I was surprised that I left that off ( and I am not so sure that I did), but anyway, I sent in the two sentence narrative as requested. I did not hear anything back so I emailed several times asking if they received the email with the added narrative response. I did finally get a response back on 10/13 saying they did get my narrative. Today I looked at my Confero account and I had a rating of 7/10 and this was in the comments.

900 Since you did not submit the correct receipt, we are accepting your report subject to acceptance by our client. If accepted by our client, you will be paid for your shop.
You are responsible for obtaining the crorrect receipt.

WHAT type of comment is that? I did send in the correct receipt as I paid cash and there was only one receipt and there was not any mention of an incorrect receipt until now. I have called several times and of course get a machine. The thing is.... I live with 5 minutes of the Confero office...I will give them one week and then I will be stopping by their office to collect my pay.
I did two shops last year for Confero. I was paid promptly for both. I have passed various tests and intended to take another test after receiving an email recently.

After this thread, I lost interest.
