AQ Services- anyone heard of 'em?

I don't feel terribly comfortable providing a lot of the information asked when I apply for a shop. But I can't imagine why they would say "Paypal only" and then turn around and require my bank account number. Anyone ever worked with them before?

Can't say I've ever heard of them. I do think it's odd to have to provide your bank account number when they only pay by paypal. I'd probably steer clear.
I am currently handling some assignments for them. I do not recall giving the acct number on sign up. I have only just started, so I cannot comment on the type of company. I can say that they are not based in the US, or North America. So far, they have been extremely professional in how they handle things, and keep an open line of communication. The only issues are based on time zone differences.
I just signed up with them and had to give my checking account number as well. They are a SASSIE company, so I assume they are legit. @jroby1, let us know how your shops go!

Also, I took the qualifying exam and passed, but it's not giving me an option to apply for jobs on the board. I sent them an email.

Completed two jobs for AQ, I didn't provided the bank info, but received an email requesting it to be paid. Hope it not a regret.

I assume they want banking info for people who live in countries where Paypal is not allowed.. At least that is what I gathered. I just put 0's.

Has anyone done a shop and got paid? What is the wait time for pay?

I'm considering applying for one of their shops. Anyone care to comment on the level of difficulty of their shops and reports?
I've been working with them since September 2014. I've had steady work each month and they are very quick to respond with answers to any questions. I said I had a PayPal account when I signed up and I was good to go.

The shops I have completed have been "from home". The forms are easy, but do require proper grammar and spelling. Some are a little redundant, but I feel they are simple, and they are not lengthy. The jobs I accepted require no long narrative, but they do want exact timing and quotes. They assign in groups via e-mail. You will get the job offer, and they will wait for you to accept the group (it will show the specific dates and times), so you do need to watch your email.Once I got the first one done, they were easy peasy.
Thank you for your email.

The payments are processed between 8 to 10 weeks after submitting your work.
We currently process payments to the US through PayPal while our office in Miami is still being set up.

AQ sent me an email last week that had shops listed in my area. At the end of the email, it said:

If you are aware of any ____, _____, or ____ shops in your area that we have not listed, then you may visit them as well after consulting with us beforehand! (the blanks are store brands - they listed 6 major companies)

I applied for a few shops and sent an email to the scheduler for several not on the job board but for one of the stores they listed in the email. They assigned me all of the 6 I asked for and the applied ones have not been assigned.

The pay is reasonable and its not for customer service, its for the computer system in these stores.

Is this legit? Anyone have any experience?

These shops are pure and 100% stupidity. The questions they want you
to ask the salesperson and the scenario they use are beyond comprehension.

"Ask if you can take a product home without paying for it to try it out?"

Yes, sir, you can take hope that piece of clothing/luggage/dog treat etc without
paying and if you like it just come back and pay for it.

Who thinks of these things?

Also the guidelines are written in terrible English.

These have to be the easiest shops I've done all month. I don't mind getting paid to pretend to be stupid (or to observe the stupidity of others). Many don't get paid at all winking smiley

I completed a job for them yesterday. When I attempted to enter the survey information, I couldn't get the survey to come up on the screen. I have sent an email to their support group and to the scheduler. As of this morning I have not received a reply. It's obvious they have trouble with this application because there is a message on the page that says "Having trouble submitting your shops? Click here to notify support". Has anyone here had this problem with them?
Make sure you have completed both of the tests and are using Google Chrome. Then, at the bottom of the page, select NEXT and the questionnaire will come up.
I am on Firefox and did not have any problems.

Thank you. I think it's too late. I tried to pull up the test and it won't let me, even on google chrome. I guess that will be a black mark for me at AQ. Thanks anyway.
Just popping in to keep track of this topic, because they got added to my list, a few days ago. I did give them the bank info, but used my Paypal holding cell account.
I gave them zeroes for the bank account and it took it. The test was interesting. I hope they appreciated the embellishments I added to the story rewrite at the end, to add time of arrival and departure, the clerk's name, and comments on cleanliness. That shell of a report they gave us to rewrite would have caused a lot of shops to be rejected.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I want to get paid for acting stupid, I usually do it for free.
Just signed up and the closest shop was almost in Mexico.
are we signing up for the same company? They use a sassie platform. Unless because
the due date wasnt updated yet the shops temporarily disappeared.

I accidenteally also sign up on shopmetrics site... its AQ International...
Hi everybody!

Just noticed this topic while browsing through this forum. I am one of the schedulers of AQ services, working at the office in KL. Just would like to explain about the payments; some countries/assignments are only to be paid by pay-pal, while other require a bank account. Depending on the client and the country of the assignment, one of these two is chosen. It could be that it differs per country. Further on, I would like to add that we are always looking for enthusiastic shoppers! Please check our website www.ilovemysteryshopping.com to subscribe yourself on sassie or shopmetrics, depending on which area of the world you are living in.

Don't be hesitant to raise your questions!

Kind regards, Ivana den Hollander

Unfortunately my one and only experience with AQ Services resulted in a long, frustrating delay in payment. The pay cycle is quite long as it is, and my payment was then delayed several weeks beyond that. I sent many, many emails, most of which went unanswered, and I was just about to throw in the towel when they finally paid. Not worth the frustration, IMO. I deactivated myself immediately after finally getting paid.
I am sorry to hear that. However, I would like to let you know that it is quite often that payments take up to 3 months after the visit due to the whole process of reporting back to the client and handling the financial matters with the client.

Let me know if you have questions,

Kind regards,

I did the foolish, poorly written test today. Now when I go to see the instructions it says I can't until I pass the test. But I just passed the test. So I clicked on test only to be told I can't do the test because I've already done it. Rinse, repeat. Someone above said there are two tests. I'll go back to see if there is another test.
