Market Force fired me for no reason

I read the posts about Market Force here, and want to add that Market Force fired me just before Christmas. What made it worse is that they sent me an email after my 100th shop telling me how valued I was, and thanking me. I made three mistakes--simple data entry areas regarding my time-in and time out of shops. This happened because they pay so little per shop that I had to perform 6-8 per day and only allow 12 hours to file a report. Due to their slow website, it is challenging to collect hundreds of data-points, correctly enter them into the report, and then hope that you've made no mistakes.

Market Force encourages hundreds of thousands to join their site, so that they can gather data on consumers (You-me) and sell the information to their clients. So they reamed me coming and going.

They can do what they want, of course. But so can I, and social media, Redditt, and blogs have informed me about the nature of this company.

Has anyone else been mistreated by this company?

So far, I've been treated well by this company and paid large bonuses to go to various rural shops. They even change the date and meal times to accomodate my schedule. But I've read enough to know that as soon as another shopper joins who is closer to those shops I will have no value to them anymore.
Hi, Mr. Blisstir, welcome to the forum. Since we are independent contractors, we are not employees and we cannot be fired. We select the companies we work with and we choose the assignments we accept. Accepting shops that pay " so little per shop that I had to perform 6-8 per day" was your choice.

Having made mistakes on your report, it does not sound like the company deactivated you "for no reason." It sounds as though there was a reason, but you simply don't like the reason.

Despite your complaints about low pay and slow website, it sounds as though you loved working for the company and you are truly unhappy that you can no longer work for them. I'm sorry for your disappointment, and I hope you are able to deal with it and move on.
Sorry this doesn't work for you.

You mentioned Reddit...are there active subreddits for Mystery Shopping? I remember looking back when I started shopping, and I found a couple of inactive communities there, but nothing with current posts.

Mr Blisster, I find it HARD to believe your story. tongue sticking out smiley

You are usually allowed to perform no more than 4 shops a day for MF (rare to be allowed to do more-without approval) and here you are performing "8" a day. Can we say "unbelievable?" Also, MF only allows one meal time per shop, meaning if you had a breakfast, you cannot perform 2 breakfasts or 2 lunches during the same time frame, per same client. You would have had to do 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, all different clients and that still leaves you with a "weight problem" after eating all those places and missing 2 more of your purported shops you claim you did...

Okay Honest Jim, aggie, newsomenew, keep trying....are you entertaining? No. Just in need of forum company as it appears you have no LIFE outside of this forum...Just sad Jim... tongue sticking out smiley

You are ignorant. Market Force allows 10 shops per day for their one petroleum client.
I can't tell you who the FF chains are, but I have done six in one day two for two different nationwide chains and two for a regional chain. Ate a total of eight times that day. Or rather I would have if I had finished all of the meals: Brought them home to my stepson. The only part of meals I finished were the fish. That seems to go bad really fast if you wait too long to eat them. I may not get along with the stepson, but I sure don't want to make him sick or kill him. Only reason I was able to do it was with permission which was almost like pulling teeth from a rooster. Great bonuses were had that day but filling out the reports were really stressful. Never again or at least until the big bonuses come back.

On an aside note Grammarly says that the bonus' or bouns's are both right but after checking online I went with bonuses.
The apostrophe makes it a possessive not a plural. My bonus's amount was smaller than hers. Our bonuses were bigger than last year.

Time to build a bigger bridge.

Good thing I missed your insult. Considering you wrote this 34 days ago. I can forgive you for being an idiot. tongue sticking out smiley
