MARKET FORCE DROPS ME

I've noticed that several people have had different problems with Market Force, so I thought I would share the problem I have with them. I am currently restarting in mystery shopping (I shopped about 8 years ago), so I am updating all my info with all the companies I was signed up with, with Market Force being one of them.
I went to update my profile, new address, etc. I noticed that my social security number was incorrect, at least the last four digits, that was all that was showing. I was unable to correct this myself so I contacted Market Force to get this corrected. They told me it would take a couple weeks to correct and unassigned me from the shops that I had assigned at that time. Told me that I could not work with an invalid SS number, I understand that. I waited a few weeks and never heard anything, so I contacted them again. They said it was my fault the number was incorrect and they had nothing to do with it, but was still working on fixing it. I do not understand how it was my fault, I have NO reason to put in an incorrect SS number. And if they verify it like they claim they do it would have been caught 8 years ago when I was shopping with them the first time.
I continued to contact them every couple weeks to see if the problem had be fixed. They kept telling me it would be a little bit longer. I would log in every now and then to check myself. Then one day I was unable to log in, it said I was restricted. I emailed them again and this is the reply I received, "Unfortunately, we are not able to consider reinstatement of your Shopper status." This is the thanks I get for being honest and telling them there was a mistake. I just wish I knew how the wrong SS number go on my account. But like I stated if they had done their job and verified like they claim they do it would have been resolved years ago.

If you are positive you put the right number in when first signing up, something very fishy is going on. I've never had this problem, not with MF nor any other MSC. It really stinks that not only were you not able to get this fixed, but you were penalized for being honest. When MF does things like this, to me it sends the message they prefer shoppers take shops with an invalid SSN on their profile until it's found out. Not something I would want an MSC to encourage.
This company causes a lot of shoppers a lot of frustration. So sorry that happened to you, I can imagine how maddening it is.

If you worked enough to get a tax form from them eight years or so ago, you can look on it and see if it was accurate. If someone else did your taxes, that person would probably have checked that, too. If you do have proof or can get it, maybe you can show them that the mistake was theirs. There is a possibility that someone hacked their system and put in another SSN for working with them, but I find that highly unlikely.
my problem with mf is ive done shops and have only been paid for a month and half ago and when I try to contact them inquiring about payment I do not get any response but yet they're quick to tell you that they cant pay you because of a shop I may or may not have done correctly, what's the deal? and I believe they have dropped me from doing movie shops

Market Force Blue (the mystery shop portal) pays the following month for accepted completed reports. There are two payment methods: direct deposit to your bank account and check mailed to you. Direct deposit is faster. If you completed shops March 1-31, direct deposit payment pays between April 10 and 12th. Checks are mailed between 4/17 and 4/20. You mentioned movies, so you are probably also registered with Market Force Purple. I'm not sure if the payment for that portal is the same as the other.

There's a great area on the Market Force site called "Frequently Asked Questions." It contains the answer to your payment questions and others. It's much easier to read those than contact the Help Desk.
Supposedly they were supposed to start paying together. I haven't done movies in a while but the payment always seemed quite delayed to me. I didn't like it when they cut the pay some time back. The old pay schedule wasn't really enough. I wonder why the movie companies pay so little that the MSC can't pay us a respectable amount. I recently did a 3D count at a theater. If I remember when the money comes in, I'll let you know the timing. The 3D counts are quick and easy with no glitches. This time there was a problem I've had before. They notified me that the numbers didn't stay on the screen so I had to re-report. You'd think they would fix that. Before I got my new email address, the movie side of MSC used to lose mine all the time. I was constantly having to add it every time I did a project for them.

I'm glad they don't pay together. At least they haven't been doing so to this point--usually every two weeks. I reckon that the movie side will be paying next week, due to the holiday. That stinks, because I was counting on a ton of money this week, too. Oh well, I guess one more busy weekend piled on won't be such a bad deal.

As for why the movie companies pay so little...because they can or they go elsewhere to someone else who puts out a lower bid. It's that simple. Otherwise, they can just lob those duties on their own employees for no more pay.
I wouldn't assume it is the movie companies paying so little.

I give blood for free movie tickets. No report to write. Free orange juice when done. Sometimes cookies. Can't beat that.
Orange juice and cookies at the movie theatre? What am I missing here? Also, milk goes better with cookies.

Orange juice and cookies after giving blood to get the free tickets.

You need the sugar boost after giving blood. I've never seen them give milk after giving blood. And you do earn free movie tickets and you are possibly helping a stranger.
I give blood on a regular basis, and the Red Cross around here doesn't offer movie tickets :-(
