Sinclair

Hi guys!

I'm new to this shopping thing. I was just wondering what anyone's thoughts were on the companies I signed up for. I read the threads for the most part. I saw things about Intelli-Shop, Best Mark, and Market Force.

I saw something about Goodwin.

And I did not see anything about Sinclair. What do you guys have to say about this company. positives and negatives are appreciated.

Thanks guys!

Personally, I like them although they do not have a lot of work in my area.

I just got a check from Sinclair today. They're just fine but the payment turnaround is a little slow for my liking (they send a check on the last day of the month following the shop).
I have done a number of shops for them, mostly upscale. They paid on time. My issue was the purchase and return fee which I think is very low since they are actually two visits. There was also no reimbursement, partly at least, which is actually the main attraction of high-end shops for me.
They are easy to communicate with. The offerings are easy to understand. The few clients in their system that I have shopped for had simple reports, nothing complicated or time consuming. As noted payment takes a while but no longer than average.

They mail it out on the 25th of the previous month for me, meaning April 25, in this case smiling smiley
Also I don't shop for the first three companies you mentioned.......not worth my time and effort
I love their video car shops.

I like their pretzel shops, not a fan of their bulk grocery store which requires both a visit and a phone call. Their specialty kitchen store was too much work with a very small reimbursement.
They pay on-time and are fair. The only thing I don't like is the burrito assignments because the pay is ridiculously low and the picture requirements are annoying. But that might not be in their control.
Anybody else still waiting for payment from Sinclair? Still waiting for payment for MARCH shops...
I did one in April that I haven't received payment on, but I usually don't worry about payment from them. I have never really had an issue getting paid.
I have my check already. Just got it yesterday or Monday I think? Still sitting here on my desk so it hasn't been too long.

They mailed out March payments at the end of April.

Thank you guys. I am new to using forums, too. I am still trying to get used to it. I have a job lined up but I have to pay to have some tests done to get the job. So, I decided to do mystery shopping while I wait and to earn some cash on the side.
Sinclair's kitchen speciality shop (buy and return) was one of my first mystery shops. It was a lot of work for a low reimbursement. When I had a problem with the shop (the cashier would not give me a receipt), I emailed the scheduler. She never answered any of the emails I sent her. Communication was non-existent; I believe I made some negative remarks about Sinclair on a previous thread and said I would not shop them again. I did not shop them again until a few months ago. I did the pretzel shops when they were bonused or if they were convenient-easiest shop ever and the scheduler who schedules them in my area (Gina H.)is wonderful.
I do the pizza shops and give pizzas away to the seniors in my building. But I don't do them until they are bonused. And I got really upset with them when they kept calling me on Sunday morning at 7:30 am. I'm either sick in my bed or getting ready for church. Please don't call me to ask if I'll drive 40 miles each way to get paid $5 to buy a pizza I don't eat!!!!

I love their pretzel and burrito shops (yum!!), although I agree that the photo requirements for the burrito ones are pretty weird. I find Sinclair pretty easy to work and communicate with. As far as payment, my experience is that I usually receive the check in my mailbox about a week after their site says it was mailed out. It is a little inconvenient, but the way I look at it is that the first week of the month is when I receive the fewest payments, so it kind of works out from that angle!

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley
