Why I like Market Force

They call me with easy shops and offer me good bonuses to do them, unlike other companies who want me to do them for base price, even though they are 40 miles away. I rarely take anything off the board yet I consistently get good shops from them.

That is my reason. Whats yours?

One of their clients happens to be my daughter's current favorite place to eat. I'll occasionally take them at base pay because it gives me a quick and easy dinner option.
Won't argue with any of that. I love the bonus emails. Got a drive-in this afternoon for lunch. The breastaurant came back up in the rotation (Male only! No sidekick recruiting!) this month, too.

I wish they had "female solo" and not "female with another female" because I can't find a female that wants to go in there, lol! smiling smiley
Their reports are fast and easy with almost no narrative. Their directions are usually very clear and spell out what they want. Their website displays the shops available in my area and I can easily search other areas. Instant self assign and auto rescheduling.
..and they never fail to pay on time. They are my favorite MSC. Of course, if I find out one day I am deactivated?

Phhht. You'll be crying in your soup.
When you are new to shopping, it is very convenient to be able to self-assign shops. Market Force is far and away superior in this respect, allowing a new shopper to self-assign shops. A shopper can self-assign for months and never have to speak to a Market Force representative, assuming that there are no issues MF has with the report. This, I think, might cause shoppers to project onto this company their anxieties and fears, and sometimes causes them to become paranoid about this company. Worrying about shop reports, waiting to see if you hear from Quality Control--these things combined with the high probability that a new shopper has made errors during the shop and possibly has covered up their mistakes so that they can get paid and reimbursed, all might lead a shopper to become paranoid about Market Force.

I think Market Force understands shopper psychology and they use this knowledge to manage their shopper force. They seem to know when bias has crept into reports before the shopper does. This ability has less to do with Market Force and more to do with the way technology is changing how we live and work.

Wait a darn second. I thought it was against the forum rules to say something nice about MF. tongue sticking out smiley

I rolled out of bed at 7:45 this morning a little hungover. I wanted some fast food and needed two medium coffees and went to the MF web site and assigned myself a breakfast shop that was $1.50 above base and was out the door in 5 minutes and was back home before 9:00 am. Shop reported and done before my second coffee was cold.

What other MSC can you do that with?
I love being able to self-assign. They reports are quick and simple (with the exception of their vitamin audit), and I've never had one rejected.
They were encouraging and considerate when I started out as a new shopper and they have always treated me fairly.
Reports are simple and pay is dependable. What's not to love?

I hope they love me forever smiling smiley
The HelpDesk is actually helpful and gets back to you quickly. I dread the day that I'm deactivated from these guys.
I remember the first time I did the restaurant that "has the meats" with marketforce. The report was so short and easy that I thought something was wrong with the website. It had to have been the easiest $15 plus reimbursement I have every made in my life.
Hey everyone, newbie here. What is up with the dreaded Market Force deactivation and the 250-shop milestone? I'm scared to sign on with them since I don't take rejection well. LoL
promystry, Market Force is known for deactivating shoppers without giving a reason. Think of working for Market Force like you would think of eating ice cream. If you never eat ice cream there's a loss associated with not eating ice cream but you don't care because you never experienced ice cream. To avoid the sense of loss, you can choose to never eat ice cream. The trade off is you don't get to experience eating ice cream.

About not taking rejection well, not to worry. You are now working in a field which will require learning that skill.

Mary is right about learning about rejection.

A lot of companies deactivate without explaining the reason. There is more discussion about it when Market Force does it because they are so big and have a huge number of shoppers. And there is usually more anger from a deactivated shopper than with most companies because shoppers LOVE working for Market Force.

I would advise you to go ahead and apply with them, promystry. They are a great company for new shoppers. You can learn a lot and the reports are VERY easy.
A few years ago, I got an email and then an actual physical letter from MF commending me for completing 750 shops. I kept going. I never made it to 775. I was told by email that "your evaluations are either too easy or too hard and we can't tell you which." I appealed and was told that their "high security requirements prevent sharing what issues might have arisen". I moved on. In the short term, it hurt. It some ways it still does. But in reality, I have done better without them. I think it is because I no longer have to schedule around MF assignments.

I have no complaints about them except for their off-shore schedulers with heavy, hard-to-understand accents.
When they deactivated me, I signed up with more MSCs, so mystery shopping actually opened up for me. But when they
reinstated me because they told me I was the one who asked to be removed, relationship really became more warm and respectful. They pay regularly, reports are fine and Help Desk is an asset. Funny thing is I have never ever have an off-shore call but have received bonus offers regularly.

I will be devastated when they finish with me. Where I live there is not a lot of work from other companies to replace what I make with Market Force.
Easy reports, good bonuses and friendly people who call me.
I like Market Force because it makes my day each month when they direct deposit all my fees and reimbursements into my bank account, like they did the other day. I can always count on them to treat me fair.
