GapBuster

Recently, a major fast food client that I shop regularly has been transitioning to a new MSC here in my area, namely Gapbuster. The reporting interface on Gapbuster is considerably slower and more finicky than the system the old MSC used. So far, it is taking me twice as long to enter in the reports than it did with the old MSC. Luckily, Gapbuster has been paying me well... I have not accepted anything less than a $30 + reimbursement fee for any of the shops I have done so far. I am crossing my fingers that I won't have any payment issues.

Gapbuster does not offer any shops more than $20 at where I live. I agree with you that their website is slower than most of thr MSCs. When I entered report on their system, it takes longer. I never had payment issue with them.
I am happy to hear that I should not have any issue with payment, and that I am not the only one who has issues with their website. I suppose that the higher fees I have been getting are due to this being a new market for them; their shopper base is probably smaller here right now. I am interested to see what kind of bonuses I can get as they get up against deadlines on many of their outlying shops that still show as available. I am hoping to bring in a haul on an out of town route.

Hi All,

Thank you for your feedback on our website/reporting system.

We would like to hear more about the problems you are facing with our system so that we can forward to our IT team for further investigation.

If you could email us at XEAssignmentsUSA@gapbuster.com with a brief description of the problem/error you encountered on our website, and screenshots where applicable, it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Dannie
Hi Dannie,

The problems are not so much errors as they are slowness. Java apps are notoriously inefficient and hog a computer's resources. That makes reporting on your system MUCH slower than others. In addition the way the questions are laid out and repetitiveness contribute to increased time.. Comparable shops on your system take me 30-40 minutes to report where they should take 15-20.

Hey Dannie,
Thanks to this site I just joined gapbusters and was accepted. I am curious though, in the signup process there is a question that says to put in my combined annual income. It does not let me enter a number, but gives choices of less than, greater than, a little more than, equal to, etc. Equal to what??? Thanks
@tnlarry, I'm not Dannie, but I ran into that situation when I was signing up with them. I think it means compared to the average income for your area, but you should probably wait to hear from Dannie to know for sure.
Hi bgriffin,

Thanks for your feedback.

I will pass it on to our IT team and be assure that developments will be initiated to improve our reporting system.

Regards,
Dannie

Hi tnlarry,

There is no need to enter any figures, the question is asking you to compare your annual income against the median household income at the national level. In other words, if you think your income is less than or greater than or a little more than or equal to the average household income in your country.

They are for informational purposes only.

Hope I answers your question.

Cheers,
Dannie

Second this. Would like to see a more streamlined method for inputting Gapbuster shops. Whenever I get asked to do a shop from Gapbuster, I always think twice as to whether it is worth my time to sit in front of the computer and spend 45 minutes inputting data.

Ya, they take a long time. Sometimes you have to hit enter, sometimes if u do the whole report won't be accepted. Addresses and phone numbers must be entered multiple times, notwithstanding the fact that receipts list them. They are a pain. BUT, I really like the company. They pay regularly once a month and they are extremely responsive to questions and concerns of all kinds. I have gone out of my way, numerous times for them, to far away restaurants and through storms and floods, just because I like them so much. Their computer system is much different than many, but once you figure it all out it speeds up. Some.
