Frustrated with Intelli-Shop

Did tons and tons of name removed Juan shops with another MSC for years with not one issue (even with the weird ones where you had to cut it up). Intelli-Shop had one and it was bonused and required one photo only, so why not.

I did it and their system kept rejecting photos for being too small, when they were more than twice the required size. I had to email the scheduler to get the report accepted.

Then, they email me saying I need new pictures (they make you submit 3) because mine are blurry. No way! I always check them on the computer before sending and none of the three were blurry. So, since I took 5 photos, I delete two of the originals and send in the remaining two (which I didn't send initially because I selected the three best out of the five).

Anyway, system refuses to accept again so I have to email scheduler.

Just got my grade and it was a 7! For "having to contact you and having to edit your photos". What??? Edit what? If they were blurry, you cannot really edit that out at all, but they were not blurry. I almost always get 10's and rarely get a 9, so this upset me. I take pride in doing a good job. I wanted to dispute it, but is it even worth it? Plus I responded to their request and sent new photos within five minutes of receiving their email!!!

Same company for my car shop. I hate that they take so long to communicate. I seldom take one of their shops because something ALWAYS is a problem and I wind up make little to no money by the time I'm finished.

With them, once they contact you, even if they missed the info already in your original report, you get docked.
I'd be upset, too. This happened to me a couple of years ago, but I don't remember what MSC it was for. The editor contacted me twice saying the photos were too small. I don't know how that could be. I have had companies request thst I reduce the size of the file before uploading, but this was the only time I ever had someone say that the picture was too small. The size of the file was quite large and the quality good, so I think the problem was on his end. But, it was frustrating.

I got a "7" today too. Fine with me. Show me the money. They're stupid if you ask me. I made more doing that one shop than they did editing all day long. Whatever.

I believe that I have had three "7's" in 16 years. Maybe this is the second? I'm cool with it.
well 7 hurts with this company 7,8,9, or 10 is fine it won't hurt you other than maybe your ego. Let it go your getting paid.

I just got an "8" from them. The editor contacted me telling me that I forgot to send along a photo. I then reminded the editor that the photo referred to was not required. That settled the issue. I then received the "8" with the notation that 2 points were deducted because the editor had to contact me. With "NOT Intelli-Shop" that kind of nonsense is par for the course and as long as they pay me...I don't care.
Intelli-shop editor once sent me a BLANK e-mail. I e-mailed back that the e-mail was blank. They sent a second e-mail, with the specifics on what needed correcting. I then received a 6 on the shop, because they had to e-mail me TWICE. They did apologize for the "glitch" with the "new editor", but refused to remove the 6.

You all make excellent points! I am such a perfectionist that it annoyed me. Also sorry about the noob mistake of the company name. Whoops!
I have 2 shops with them this week. Wish I was on this forum site before signing up. It has been about 10 years since I did any MS, but glad I found this forum now. I will weigh all my options before signing up

tillmand...I wouldn't not sign up with Intelli-Shop, just be aware that their editors can be sometimes "over zealous" and seemly have to justify their existence by downgrading and very infrequently awarding "10's" and/or making comments such as "corrections needed to be made to your report, etc" without saying what the corrections were (so perhaps they're not repeated, going forward?). Don't let their comments be bothersome just be aware of them and as long as you get paid...treat it like "water off a ducks back" and don't give a sh!t.
I've learned this too with them. I feel like I do an awesome job on my shops, I really do my very best and I do the detail that they require, so it got under my skin when recently I was required to add information that was already in the report, but basically just explain it just a little bit more into the smallest detail possible. Then that shop was dropped points due to having to be contacted. I am happy with the 10's I get on other company boards and the positive remarks, so I'm just going to take it with a grain of salt when that happens. I'm happy with the pay from them so if they need to nit pick then I'll just make them happy I guess.
Well I am upset with them, too. I did a phone shop. The salesperson was scripted and abrupt. Every time I asked a question I was interrupting them. The whole call was recorded, and when the call was ended I saw I had only been on the line 18 minutes instead of 20. I should not have done the report, I guess, but I did. Then they write me and tell me they are not paying me because *I* ended the shop early! This call was over. There was not much I could do without sounding suspicious, but I did not even know I was short by 2 minutes. I would have sounded suspicious and be damned, if I had known no pay!
Yes, it's annoying when you're used to '10's. Fortunately, their ratings don't carry over to other Sassie companies. If you go in knowing you're likely not going to get a '10', it stings less. It's sort of like the elusive '20' for a Coyle cruise shop.
Same pay for a 7 as a 10. Their editors probably have control issues. Low on my list for shops anymore.

Just realize they grade differently than most so you have to look at them accordingly. As long as they pay and give me more shops when I want them it works for me. Also know everyone is getting graded the same way.

I could have written this! The exact same thing happened to me...exactly as you described...every detail! Ridiculous.
I did a car shop for them, they sent me back to the location FIVE times (drove slightly over 300 miles in all) because they wanted certain things in writing from the car salesman who was not going to do a full write up for someone just making inquiries. What they were asking for was akin to the dealership writing up the sales contract with all the info. Would have been a nice profitable shop until this company played games, then it quickly went into the hole.

I just saw they are now doing a shop for a certain franchise...which I was doing for another company...made me rather sad... so, now it's only expenses and as stated above...relentless random b.s. possibilities...
There's a shop this company does which always goes to bonus and is quite reasonable, but for my area I'm not doing it in strong hopes the company dumps them so another MSC will take it over...some of their editors are an entire new level of stupid and anal-retentive.
I'm glad to see that they do this to other people, and not just me. I thought it was just me. That's why I like coming to this forum.
They aren't my favorite MSC, but I have always been paid for every shop I have done with them. It is very annoying when they request more information that is already in the report, or ask for information that isn't in the questionnaire and give me a lower grade because they had to contact me. I will be more hesitant to pick up shops with them.
I just submitted a shop for a large event and am short on the photos required. I accidentally deleted photos from my phone, thinking that I had already uploaded them to the computer. EEK! Sure enough, the editor just got back to me asking for the other photos and I explained what happened. Does anyone have a hunch if the shop will still be accepted? I would HATE to loose that deposit and am KICKING myself!!
If you have an iPhone deleted pictures are sent to a folder "Recently Deleted" and are kept for 30 days. If you don't have an iPhone then ignore that. Good luck, I hope they accept your shop.
If you have an Android phone and store photos on a microSD card, you can removed the card, insert it into your PC (various options available) and then use software to retrieve the deleted files (same thing with an SD card from a digital camera). Just search Google Play for "retrieve deleted files on a microSD card". Good luck

I have a habit of not shopping for companies that have less than $25 shops unless I get some benefit out of it such as a meal. This means I never worked for them even though they stuff my in box with low paying jobs that are not worth putting the key in the ignition.
if it was on an sd card there are free programs on the internet that will find the deleted pictures. they never actually get deleted, they are in layers. I just googled "retrieve deleted images from sd card" to find the software. just a thought
You did the pizza shop. I got the same response and submitted several pictures too. I did get paid. I told them if the want a perfect picture, than they should make a perfect pizza. And I did not do anymore if these joke $25 shops , that actually cost closer to $10. Get rid of this editor Intelli Shop.
