IntelliShop

IntelliShop requiring a deposit (cash) for certain shops. Has any one ever heard this before.

They claim in order to attend the event , they require a $50.00 which will be refunded within 7-10 days.

Has anyone ever done any of these shops?

I got that today, too. Sounded like it's to make sure that people don't flake. IMHO, with the other required expenditures, I think it's a lot of money to put out for what the shop itself pays. Personally, I would only consider doing it if the pay were higher, or somewhere I had interest in going.
They have had that quite a while, I believe. And indeed, I believe they are providing a ticket up front rather than reimbursing. Of course you are expected to trust them to reimburse you when you lay out money on their behalf but evidently that coin does not have two sides.
I just finished two shops for Intelli, and have not heard of this.....

Yes, it is for their sporting event shops. They claim they will pay your deposit back in 30 days. I'm not going for it, but then, I'm not a sports fan.

I have seen it mostly with a specific sports event. Obviously if they sent the shopper the ticket and the shopper either was unable to go or decided to enjoy the event rather than perform the shop, there would be little they could do about it except eat the loss and terminate the shopper. There would be no second chance to get the work done. When a company does not build trusting relationships with their shoppers this is going to be a much more frequent occurrence.
A convention? How boring! :-)

Yes, this one sure looks like it, but some of them wouldn't be! And of course, I'm pretty certain that the convention itself isn't what's being evaluated. ;-)
Finally did my first shop for them. One of my worst shopping experiences ever. I knew it wasn't going to be an easy shop, but I needed to do something to get on the board.

In general, have people had good experiences with this MSC?
Their shops vary a lot in content and length, and they often do not directly corelate with the payment given. Some are easy and fair, some not. It sounds like you hit upon one of the latter. :-( They pay slowly (but on time), too, which only adds insult to those latter types of shops they have.

They have different level shops....take the convience store to get your feet wet, then move up. I like them because there are no returns or out of pocket money.

Convenience store? No such luck, Irene! It was a very complicated shop, with a fairly substantial cost that needs to be reimbursed.
Does Intellishop move shops into "received" status, or let them remain listed as "completed" and are they generally slow at reviewing? I've never had a shop linger so long without a score.
Depends on the shop, each one is individual...yours sounds complex, so, probably takes longer to score. Don't worry about it.

I get the same emails for baseball games. I have not done any but used to do games for another company. Quit when I got 2 tickets for 7.00 seats. Too much work involved for bleacher seats. The reports took me at least 90 minutes for all the areas and details.

Yes, they change the status after they review. It is difficult to say what is up with them in that regard. They take off $ and points if we are late, BUT, sometimes they take forever to view. I did a shop in May that they took 20 days to review. I did three this past week that they reviewed inside of a day, and gave feedback, but did not mail me the feedback, I only saw it when I logged in to report another. I think it depends on their contract with a given client. Some seem to get reported instantly, and some seem like they are given back to the client as a monthly batch.

Thanks for the info. Oh, it was on time, which is a whole 'nother story! This involved shop had to be done no earlier than the late afternoon. Had dinner after I finished, and because of the submission time requirements, had to stay up until the wee hours of the morning to finish the report and uploads. No wonder then, that I just looked at a PDF of the shop, and noticed a VERY stupid grammatical error. *Ouch*! I don't recommend proofreading at 4 AM!
NT....I've never seen a shop with a large reimbursement nor one as involved as you did, funny they have different shops, now they are heavy into dealerships in L.A. I couldn't stay up till the wee hours, just couldn't...more power to you!!

You must be younger and more spry than the rest of us nicely. Or you get better vitamins and antioxidants! No way on 4 AM unless I'm having serious fun.
Serious fun....haha, good one, not even serious fun could keep me awake till 4...maybe 1...lol.

I just finished four shops for them, and another is due tomorrow. I am trying to contact Shannon with a question, and have been writing her for over a week with no answer. This is not like her, we have always had great communication. Anyone else having trouble reaching them?

I'm not trying to reach them, but I did a shop for them over two weeks ago that still has not been rated so I wonder if something is slowing them down.

Excatly, three of my done shops have not been rated or approved. Says unfinished but they are finished, no one is checking. Have a big job tonight and wonder what's going on.

Live consciously....
I have found that sometimes they are very fast to rate and other times they are slow. A shop that I completed for them on 10/15 has been rated while a shop completed on 10/12 has not been rated.
My experience is my jobs get finished (not rated) immediately and I get an email from Shannon saying job's been sent to client...not the case the past two weeks. I can always communicate with Shannon and needed to ask her a question about tonight's job. Seems like no one is home, I've emailed manmy times, no response, this is not normal, since tonight is a large output for me, I need to know what's going on or I'm not going to do it. Then I'll be on their s___ list.

Live consciously....
Some jobs get rated more quickly than others, but in my experience, none of them are rated very fast. I also never get emails confirming that the shop has been submitted to the client.
I have a special relationship with Shannon, having helped her out on many occassions...I'm wondering if she's sick or gone. They usually sent an auto email saying someone will get back to me. They are not great about conversing, but this one scheduler is great.
