Timestamp app is awesome!

I learned so much from all of you - thanks to all of you for generously sharing your tips! I finally have one of my own to share. I found a timing app that I love. I had tried the Mystery Shopping Timer and Shop It apps, but had issues with those. Then I found Timestamp. It is the coolest tool! The main screen shows the current time to the tenth of a second and is constantly updating (you can see the time moving). You can choose to see the display in military time or the American 12-hour time.

I hit the button on the clock when I first turn on my DVR and say the time into the DVR (this way if I forget to push the timer button at some point I can figure out the times by listening to my recording). Then when I arrive at my shop, I push the button again, and then subsequently for any required timings. I then push it one last time when I leave.

The great thing about this is that I now have all the timings for my shop on one screen (which I can email to myself). As I go along I can label each time stamp. For example, for a Sonic shop I will label my time arrived along with the # of cars on the lot. I label the timings for Push the button, Answer & order taker's name, Hang up and whether they suggestive sold anything, Food and name of carhop, etc. I will also take notes such as promos on the menu board, # of skaters, whether or not I receive a check back, whether or not I hear music, etc. I can then email this to myself. When I am filling out my report I can choose to see the elapsed time and see how long each time segment is.

Timestamp is easy to use and very accurate. I got it from the Apple app store, I think they also have an Android version, but I am not sure. Anyway - thought I would share!

Thanks. I've been very happy with shopwatch, mostly because I'm not techy and it's easy to use. But this looks worth trying!
I use one called Timekeeper Memo that is excellent. It has helped me take much better and less conspicuous notes on restaurant shops. [itunes.apple.com]
