MF deactivate question

I am assuming I got the MF axe as when I logged in today I can't see new assignments. Am I supposed to complete the ones that I have coming up next week? They are still showing on my "log".... but geeze if you don't want me to work for you anymore do you really want me to do these shops?

And no clue why I got the axe...... exactly one year from the date I registered with them. Two shops in this year were invalid. ... both due to time slots (I forgot during the week you have to visit after 4pm, only on weekends can you go anytime)

So you shopped the grocery store at the wrong time, 2 different times on 2 different shops? How many shops had you done in one year?
Yep! Once was just a plain old duh! What was I thinking and the other was a location about an hour away which happens to be on Eastern time and I live in Central time. ... looked at the clock in my car instead of my phone, ugh....
I averaged about 20 shops a month with them.
Oh, boy, I'm so glad to hear someone else has the same problem I do! The time change hits me every time I drive east. I have screwed up so often over that! But when I realize I screwed up, I just go in and reschedule and NEVER tell MF I screwed. As far as they ever know, I merely rescheduled. No demerits for that, if you don't do it consistently.

If you have a relationship with a scheduler, you might give him or her a call. It may be a glitch or a temporary something.

For Pete's sake, though, do complete those shops!
I received an e-mail dated 1/8/16, the same day as the posting above, explaining a new format for their site. Look for this message and see if their new instructions are helpful.
I was deactivated a few days ago as well, when I emailed to ask why, they told me they are unique in the market and cannot give the reasons why.
I think we are "unique in the market and cannot give the reasons why" is code for: we deactivated you and we don't want to argue with you about it, so we're not even going to engage the question. Not that I blame them, if you don't want to hire a plumber again to work on your house, you don't have to give him a reason and any MSC doesn't have to give us one. But it's not like the unique reason they don't want you shopping for them anymore couldn't be explained. Even without giving away any proprietary information, they could say something like, we have too many shoppers with your demographics in your area (or whatever other vague, general reason), so we dropped some that were the most recently added (or whatever).

My point is that the company *could* explain if they wanted to, but apparently they don't. But the person you spoke/emailed with probably doesn't have the authority to give you the answer, so they were probably being honest. They might not actually even know why you were deactivated. Good luck finding other companies to work for, I expect MF will give me the boot too one of these days, so I hope you're able to fill your schedule without them.

Shopper in California's Bay Area
Suddenly without warning I have been deactivated from the company I do the most shops for. I did 3 yesterday and entered 2 just fine but last night when I went to enter the third shop it would not let me. I am so confused and they will not respond to me about what happened. Has this happened to anyone else today? I am distraught. Any tips on how to get reactivated?
Are you certain you were deactivated? Could it be that their website was having problems?
Yes they emailed me that they would be discontinuing a partnership with me but thanks for all the shops you completed.

Time to register with more MSCs and branch out. Never put all your MS'ing eggs in one basket.
Same thing happened to me. Oh well. I've moved on. Good thing I've kept records of my shops.
Thanks I am registered for quite a few just really enjoyed the way this site was set up and liked getting paid every month on time!

I agree to contact Marketforce and see if it's a glitch, temporary, the reasoning, etc...but I disagree that for "Pete's sake" she should complete the shops. If she did get axed from Marketforce, I don't think she should feel any obligation to complete the shops. If she needs the money, and wants to work for a company that just axed her with no notice (and trusts they will pay), then she should go for it. If it were me, I would probably not complete the shops, and would reciprocate with no notice.
I actually don't think MF much cares whether the shopper completes the shops already assigned or not. I think they leave them, allowing the deactivated shopper to complete them, because they think it is a kindness to the shopper. I'm thinking they figure that the shopper must want the shops because the shopper chose to self-assign them. If I were blocked from assigning future shops, I may or may not complete the remainder of the shops I had already assigned. It depends. If they were shops I wanted, I'd complete them. If not, then not.

If you don't want to do the shops, don't. In the case of deactivation for fraud or something bad, all shops are removed and you don't have the option to complete them. Since the OP still has the option to complete already-assigned shops, clearly they do not believe she has done anything "wrong" or "bad." She will bet paid for any correctly-performed and accepted shops, whether performed before she was blocked from new shops or after, at the next regular pay period.
I would complete any shop that I had agreed to. Regardless. MSCs have made mistakes in deactivating a shopper. I would tackle that after the fact.

You can appeal, and they might reinstate you, but it may not be worth it. I got deactivate and reinstated once, but that just made it easier for them to randomly drop the axe again later. You can complete anything you already took, but to be honest I'd half-recommend canceling everything you took with a less than happy message as to why you are canceling. Some shopping companies have a certain amount of loyalty and trust, but MF non-theatrical couldn't care less about who works for them and what they do to their shoppers if they tried.
As stated recently in another thread, people are seeing fewer and fewer of their shops in some cities. That might be what has happened. There might not be any shops available right now... Just a thought.
