Maritz Business Payment

All last year my checks from Maritz came to my personal name. I do run an online business and registered my name with the state for the purpose of collecting sales tax when I sell something. Now my checks from Maritz are coming under that name. anyone else seeing this?

Have you given Maritz an EIN? I do not use the EIN and I have seen no change with Maritz, but two friends who both use EINs have noticed that, since MaritzCX, they are both getting payments to their "company" name instead of personal name.

Yes I gave them an EIN last year when I saw there might be extra assignments if I did.

They can't change reporting types during the middle of the year. Once you have received a payment under one tax id you will continue to the rest of the year. Since you gave them an EIN during the year on Jan 1 they changed your reporting from SSN to EIN and therefore changed how your checks are made out in order to reflect the EIN.

My checks are now coming payable to "NA". They only change I made was updating proof of insurance. I sent the check back and made the changes on profile as I was told to and return the check. I was yd it would be at around 3 weeks for them to reissue. Next check same thing. Anyone else with this problem? I have always had both EIN and SS# on the forms.
