See Level/ Sassie grading question.

I just signed up so I automatically have a Shopper Grade of 5. The assignments on the board all require a grade of at least 8. So, do I apply anyway? I have no problem paying my dues but it could be months before a job comes up that is okay with a grade of 5. Could applying hurt me in any way? See Level is part of Sassie now, so this question could apply to any Sassie company that grades.

The program will check your profile against the required criteria for the assignment. If your score shows as a 5 your request will be rejected. It will tell you right then and there that's its been rejected. All the MSC utilizing Sassie start you out with a 5.

I handled this one of two ways when I began shopping. 1) Contact the scheduler directly (if they list their email) and plead your case. You can explain that you've been shopping for some time, but are new to their company. Some schedulers will work with you. Some can't due to restrictions. 2) Like you've eluded to, you work the crappiest job that MSC offers just to boost your score up.

I messed up my first shop with Intelli-shop. My initial score of 5 was lowered to a 3. When you get down to a 3 there are very few shops offered to you. After all, at 3, you're a loser. I managed to find a phone shop that paid $2.00 one day, and I could do with a score of 3. I rocked that report and got a 10. I went right to a 7 after that shop.

Long story short, you've got to play the game. But, it can be done.

I'd suggest e-mailing the scheduler to see if you can be assigned to an "8-rating" shop. I just signed up with them and am doing my first shop tonight, but I saw a shop I wanted to do that required a shopper rating of 8. I e-mailed the scheduler, and she would have assigned it to me. Unfortunately, our e-mails crossed paths, and I was out of the area by the time I received her e-mail, and it was too far to go back. (Dang it, too, because it was a really interesting shop!) If your shopper rating with your other Sassie companies is 8 or higher, it probably couldn't hurt to mention that!

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
I had the same problem when I first signed up with them, but I only had to wait a week before a shop came through with a rating of 5 requirement. It wasn't a shop I would've chosen otherwise, but it was easy and got me the rating so I could do the other shops. Which were the reason I signed up with that MSC in the first place! I love that food and the reports are easy.
I sign up with another MSC the other day. Wednesday afternoon I received a e-mail saying there was a FF shop open in my area. I have never done any work for them and my score was a 5. It was a Sassie company. It did not mention that you rating must be a 7 or higher or any other number.

It was not a self assign shop. I put in my application and the time that I can complete the report and send it in to them. A few hours later I received a e-mail saying that I have been accepted the shop.

So I will see how this goes smiling smiley

Good luck and hope that you get the shop smiling smiley

Not all MSC's grade their shoppers. If they use Sassie you will have a permanent grade of 5 with these companies. Most schedulers work for more than one company so you are best off emailing them directly to see if they will assign you to an 8 shop. They talk to each other just like we do. If you have experience they can find out about your work....
