Roy Rogers pay increase

The new round is out, pay increased from $7 to $10. Reimbursement is still generous.

I got $10 plus reimbursement when I did it back in December...unless it varies by market.

Shopping central Arizona.
If I recall correctly, the bar only shop pays slight less than dinner. That may account for the difference.

Reimbursement was the same for both in the last round but the bar shop allows for 2 drinks, and doesn't require dessert. I prefer to drink my dessert....

It may vary by market. In addition, you may have done a bonused shop at the time.

That's probably why I've never been to one. I guess you need to be more specific, since many of us shop Roy's Hawaaian Fusion
I would never have guessed Roy Rogers. That chain used to be common and well-liked in this area, but maybe 20 years ago, they disappeared except for some locations along toll roads managed by HMS (which is now owned by Autogrill). I now know that Roy Rogers is doing well enough somewhere to actually be shopped.

They have locations in NJ. I worked for them in 1979. Marriott sold them in 2000, the current headquarters is not too far from me.

I went to a Roy Rogers on the Atlantic City Expressway about 2 weeks ago and it was one of about 5 FF operations which all shared a common HMSHost cashier and I got a HMSHost receipt Their name tags said HMSHost. They had a small subset of the original Roy Rogers menu, and it was mediocre.

Autogrill of Italy which is the dominant travel plaza operator in Europe bought HMS in 1999. Until 1996, HMS and the Marriott hotel chain were part of a single company.dating back to 1897. HMS only lasted 3 years as an independent company, and is now HMSHost.

The Roy Rogers restaurant saga is a sad one. Founded by Marriott in 1968 under license from THE Roy Rogers, it grew to 6509 locations in the Northeast, Middle Atlantic States, and as far south as NC (there was one in Chapel Hill in the mid 1970s). In 1990, they sold it to Hardees, which converted them to Hardees. The conversion met with resistance and consumer revolt, and Hardees tried to recover by converting them back to Roy Rogers, but it failed and they sold the locations to McD, Boston Market, and Wendy's. It is convoluted, but the chain is now growing again under a new owner. [en.wikipedia.org]

Yeah, the Roy Rogers saga is quite the story. There is a new location about to open in Brick NJ, where they once had a very busy location that was closed when the county needed the space for a road widening project.
