Does Maritz ever respond to emails or return phone calls?!

I had payment issues with Maritz because I did not understand the whole invoice thing. I had called Maritz and a woman told me she was submitting all my invoices to their accounting department and that I would be paid. I have not gotten any payment. I've called during normal office hours. Since I don't know what "team" the hardware stores are, I just hit "0" for customer service and it goes to a general voicemail. I've left numerous messages on the voicemail, as well as sent e-mails via their "Contact Us" link. No response from Maritz whatsoever!

Is this typical of them? What should my next step be?

My experience is that it may take them a while, but they do call back with payroll issues. I have not gotten a call back in a few instances when calling regarding a scheduling question, but that is par for the course. they are generally much more serious about payroll questions.
Unless they're expecting your E-mail do not expect them to respond to either your E-mail or even your voice message.
If you do call, be sure to ask when you should expect your check!

I had the same problem with the invoicing when I first started with Maritz. Didn't invoice after two shops and wasn't paid. I called and left a message. I didn't get a call back but did get a check a few weeks later. It may take some time to get your check but you will. This is a good company that takes a while to pay. I have done many shops for them now and have invoiced each one and been paid on time.
They once sent me an email to say that they weren't scheduling the shops that I applied for on the job board. Maritz is a total waste of time.

Yes, their good about responding to emails and phone calls pretty quick after sending a concern or question about anything. I remember asking about a payment issue, cool receptionist quickly fixed the problem over the phone without asking me to contact anyone. She had my check sent in about a week, their good people!
I have done just a couple of those. I signed up again for the same two stores. And I waited and waited. Finally one was shown to have been assigned to someone else, the other one is in "Limbo" It shows that I have applied for it, but nothing else. You can't open up any paperwork. I have e-mailed them twice and I have gotten no response.
I have never had any problem with them calling me back when I leave a message. If they call me to see if I will pick up a shop they are always very friendly and professional. I really like the company, but I really like all the companies I have done jobswith.

I wont work with them because they insist on babysitting me by telephone.I'm a busy educated experienced professional.I dont have time to chit chat about something as pedestrian as a mystery shop. I sign up with their software system and that is how I expect to finish with them.
If you are so busy that you don't have time to chit chat about something as pedestrian as a mystery shop, why are you here in a mystery shopping forum chit chatting about mystery shopping?

if you can't get in touch with anyone from maritz by phone, you're not trying hard enough. seriously, there is no msc more accessible.
The difference between being here and having an inane conversation with a Maritz scheduler for me is I'm choosing to waste my own time.

Answer...This is not a telephone based business.
Today is not a workday.
I have no desire to "be in touch" by phone for these maters.I'm not calling them.
I guess you have no interest in receiving big bonuses, offers for special projects and routes that never see the daylight of a job board. And I am not just talking Maritz.

When you own your own business, which we do, everyday is a potential work day...for the right amount of money.
I think it is entirely dependent on where you are with your business. For the first couple of years I worked seven days a week. Now I make sure to take time off. It is the only way to keep some semblance of a personal life and your sanity. The companies who call and will not leave a message are the same ones whose bonuses aren't worth answering the phone for anyway. On the other hand, if it is a scheduler whose number I have saved, who I know is calling me rather than making their way down a list, and who is guaranteed to be offering something worth my while, I will pick up the phone.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

There is little about Maritz that surprises me any more. I am not surprised by their inability to use e-mail. I am not surprised by their in ability to respond to messages. I am not surprised by their inane website. I am not surprised by the pathetic fees they offer (at least in my area). I am not surprised by their requirement to invoice within a 14 day window. But, I am surprised that nowhere do they provide a list of what types of shops each Team does.

Six voicemail messages (during their office hours) and several e-mails isn't trying hard enough?
I just tried to call them and I got through on the first attempt. You do need to be aware of the time zone issue when calling MSCs.
Yes, I've called during their office hours. My next step is to contact the BBB. This is ridiculous.
