Never give up and never surrender. Thats what that US president said when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.

hope you're better at shopping than you are with history.

Boy that sure wasn't my experience with Monterey Mystery- I liked their shops cuz the pay was fair and the narrative was short, but it took me months to get paid for a bunch of jobs that I did, they claimed it was a clerical error because I was signed up on an old website, and they had a new one, but even after identifying that it still took three weeks after they said they would pay me right away. I was finally paid in mid September for jobs done in June and July and only after I said I wouldn't do any more jobs for them. Then they sent me out of state, which I accepted for a not very great bonus and then I never got paid and they claimed they sent me notice of something I needed to do which was to get have gotten a business card, and I responded that the kid was so new he didn't have a business card ( which I had put into my report) When I asked him for one he said he didn't have them yet and then he grabbed one of his associates and scribbled something across it that wasn't legible. And then I never heard back from Monterey Mystery. I just figured it was their old take their time to pay me deal. They claimed I didn't do what I was supposed to and put it back on the board for someone else to complete. I can't be blamed if they have sales associates on the floor who don't possess business cards.

Shopping til' I drop, no joke here!

Sorry, but "Never give up, never surrender" is a quote from the movie "Galaxy Quest" which starred Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver. It was a tag line of the imaginary series, and was said by several characters in the movie. Here is one of them: [www.youtube.com]

Also, the Germans never bombed Pearl Harbor. The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Perhaps the most famous quotation comes from FDR, ":Yesterday, December 7th, 1941 -- a date which will live in infamy -- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan." The US did not declare war on Germany until several days later (December 11th), after Germany declared war on the US.

Yeah, but it was already determined that CoatClosetCommando was referring to a scene in Animal House...it was a joke.
On my job board, next to my name, it says "flake scheduler"
This is one of the first companies I have ever worked with, like 15 years ago.
I have had to cancel maybe two shops with them, and now I am considered a flake.
I think this is so inappropriate.
Just keep in mind that editors are contractor as well. They get paid by the job. When they get a shopper that is not meeting "their standards" and costing them time and money. Then they can and will be picky and get down right rude! This msc's editors tend to be way picky on certain jobs. When a shopper can do a car sales shop and get near perfect scores. And yet turn around and get hosed on a gas and grub shop, there are different standards being used for different clients. Maybe they should put calibration notes in each specific client job type! That would be a novel idea!
I have to give Intellishop some rare credit. I just did a report where I accidentally entered my total including the tip. Later when it asked for the tip amount, I meant to go back and change the first number, but I forgot. My feedback was just a courteous note about my mistake, and they still gave me 10/10.
I apparently had a shop rejected today. It's my fault, I missed the deadline by two hours. I just found it odd that the editor didn't respond to my email.
Looks like some people accidently turned their troll detector off.

I recently de-activated myself form Intelli-What ?. These guys are a joke, I will never deal with them again !!! Companies like this give MS a bad name. F 'em.
Intellishop is full of the type of people who Bruce Cockburn sung about in the 80's...
they will get theirs, in the end....

I feel the same about them, What comes around goes around.....

If Tim is still following this thread, will you come back and let us know if there have been any further developments in this situation? I'd be interested to hear if you went further up the food chain with this and what, if anything, has happened.

I am furious for you that this happened. And I'm not signed up with Intellishop, nor will I sign up with them after hearing your story, and those of others here. (Not that the MSC cares, but I care about what companies I sign up with!)

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
Aside from trying to make a joke out of this, this thread is serious and should be viewed as such.
I did a difficult car dealership for them, really spending a lot of time on report and Salesman, one of the roughest dealerships I have ever done, all for 17.00. I get an email from the Editor saying my report will not be accepted and I will not get paid, because I didn't make an Appt. I had printed out the instructions, and it said, call, but do not make Appt. I wrote and told her that, She never responded back. I totally blame the Editor. I look on the site and I have a great big 1...(for following directions). Bad ass company. I know people on this forum tell you to never de-activate, a bonus may come in. I wouldn't work for them for a 300.00 bonus, if they screw you out of 17.00, well, need I say more.

Live consciously....
I deactivated same day as TX. Horrible issues before with them and tried one last time for a shop which 'had to be done' by a certain date otherwise they'd withhold payment from previous shops. I need something mailed by them to me and . . . nothing. 5 days passed and they still haven't mailed it for a shop that takes up much of my day due to driving and I can only do at this point the next day with deadline being 2 days later. My guess is there's a chance I'd get the materials in the mail around 2-3 p.m. for a shop with driving and all else would be impossible to do within the given restrictions, I'd get a 1, demand for materials back and then if I were owed money they'd withhold it.

Prior to this I signed up for a shop then scheduled a route with it...of course, i then get notice it's cancelled with no explanation. I asked for one and was told they scheduled it twice but there's only once available and someone else accepted it before me. That's it....

Absolutely deactivate with them. I also noticed the website wasn't even secure. If we learned of a date breach and identity theft with them would anybody be surprised?

sure there is small claims court = a waste of time and effort for the relatively little $$$ involved and there is the bbb = worthless, toothless organization. [\quote]

Regarding the BBB: in this case, I think it might be helpful. I've read a good chunk of complaints shoppers have filed against IntelliShop for non payment with the BBB, and most of them do end up being resolved. IntelliShop eventually gives in and pays. There were even some that really shouldn't have been paid (shopper didn't follow guidelines, etc) and because they were so persistent and vocal on the BBB site, they got their money anyway.

If I were the OP, I'd give that a try if you don't have any proof that you didn't cuss during your shop.
maybe not small claims, but if Intelli-shop has stiffed enough people, especially after grading them with an 8 or better, there may be enough for a class action suite for recovery of money owed for services rendered.
I wonder if Intellishop is reading this thread?

Intellishop is a baked potato covered in dumpster juice. That's right I said it.

That sounds awful! I was just about to accept one of these motorcycle shops from them but now I won't. Similar thing happened to me with Intouch INSIGHT - I completed 10 assignments for the same client and they refused payment for the only 2 in which I truthfully reported the poor performance of this client. It's totally unethical, but it made me understand that they basically want me to blow smoke up their @$$&-# to keep the client happy, they couldn't care less about the truth. I know how frustrating it is to get ripped off so I'll add them both to my "ten foot pole list"! Sorry to hear about your misfortune and thanks for the heads up!
I'm guessing that a troll post was deleted. I wish the system would at least say "deleted post" or give us some sort of indication to explain why some posts may not make sense anymore. Just a thought.
