Marketforce deactivated me

So I've been shopping with Marketforce for about 8 years now. My mom about 9 years, my husband for 4 years, and my sister signed up this year. I have always enjoyed working with them and they have fairly good shops.

About a month ago my sister called me to tell me they deactivated her. My mom got deactivated the same day too. Marketforce could not give an explanation, but would not reactivate them.
I logged on today to see what shops were available and I'm unable to see any shops. I emailed them and I got a generic response of "we have deactivated your account and we don't have to tell you why." I checked my husband's account and he is also deactivated.

Anyone else having problems? Are they just randomly cleaning house (and knocking off their loyal, long time contractors) or thinking they will just have newbies so they can do low shop fees.

There is obviously a bunch of change happening there. With the loss this year of their long time major client they have done some belt tightening. I note I am back to getting calls from "California" of what appear to be off shore schedulers whose English is questionable at best. In another thread a shopper mentioned their application got turned down with a note indicating that MF hires only 65% of applicants. That certainly has never been the case in the past. Sorry you and your family appear to have been caught in the crosshairs.
It sounds as though when your sister signed up, maybe it tripped their alarms. They reportedly do not like having family members registered, and many people who share a computer have reported that their shared computer use was identified and they were deactivated. Or, your sister was deactivated for some error and they deactivated all of you. Forum members have posted here that when one family member is deactivated, MF deactivates the whole family because they are afraid that family members would allow a deactivated family member to access their system.

I have a family member who also shops for MF. He has shopped for them since 2009 and I have since 2010 and neither of us had any problems so far.
To stay under the radar, you should never log into MF from the same location even with different PC's as they record the external IP address from the cable modem. If they see more than one shopper at the same residential address, this will be detected.

They don't seem to want to investigate the facts of how or why this happened, they just play it safe and delete all the accounts involved.

You should not have the same physical address listed for more than one shopper.
Ahhh, must be their time to cut a bunch of people again. They do that occasionally. I think they have a quota or something.
This happened to me over a year ago. When I spoke to someone at Market Force about it recently, I was told it was because the emails they were sending me were marked as spam. I was able to get reinstated immediately. Call. It's worth a try. Good luck.
I just feel that this is a really crappy way of doing business. Especially for shoppers that have been with them well over 8+ years.
The long story short is that no one really knows why MFI deactivated you all. The comment to contact or call was useful.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

I was deactivated because I had to reschedule or cancelled some shops here and there because I was trying to do the shops in between taking care of my elderly parents and they said they could not count on me to get the shops done so my account was closed and they said they would not reactivate it. After a year I tried again and they reopen my account but warned me if I did the same thing again they would close my account for good. So far so good. I guess they reopened it because I live in a small town and the shops were not getting done so I guess they wanted someone to do them.

Not necessarily....MF are reputable for hardly ever giving a reason (if any exists in reality) for deactivating their long standing shoppers. If any have been given a reason for their 'mysterious' deactivation, I wish they would speak up. MF are extremely unprofessional in this regard. Any shopper ought to know why they are being fired or at least if they had done something wrong/violates their ICA.

Not necessarily. As an independent contractor, a shopper is not an employee and is not "being fired." I employ a lot of independent contractors at home and at the company where I work. It is strictly my (and my company's) choice which independent contractor I choose for particular jobs. If I decide not to use an independent contractor again, I do not use him again. I don't need a reason why I do not want to work with him again and I seldom provide the contractor with a reason why I will not use him again. And if a contractor decides he does not want to request jobs from me or my company again, I do not contact him to demand to know why he is no longer requesting jobs. His choice. My choice.

I was told that I was "either harder or easier than the average shopper and we can not tell you which one." I pursued it for another round, and was told that they utilize a secret proprietary rating system and that is all that they were allowed to tell me. I was of course expected to complete the 11 shops already assigned to me before I got booted. I did, because I was and continue to be professional. I was not told that I had done anything wrong, and had not had any shops rejected. I had been commended by MF for reaching 750 completed shops, and was then given the boot before I reached 800. I was not happy, but in the end I feel that I have done better without them.
