And once again I'm reminded of why I don't like Maritz

Hrm. Now that you mention it I didn't see any the last time I logged on either. I don't do them so don't really look, but don't think they were there.

How do you get their codes w/o printing? Also what do you mean typing outside like in a word document? Ty Lisa
If you hit the print button like you're going to print and then make the print preview box as large as you can you can see the code without actually printing.

I'm not sure what you mean by typing outside.

I type outside all the time. That is what laptops, tablets and smart phones are for.

Fuzzy...you got lucky to be paid by Maritz for a closed location. That is not my experience and I have been told NUMEROUS times by Maritz that they do not pay for closed locations.

Not lucky. In the reference guides for two brands, the following text appears: "Unmanned location – If a location is a Credit Card only station, a closed station, or a marina, then you will only be reimbursed for the shop fee. No gas compensation will be given."

It specifically says you will be paid. I have no idea who was telling you otherwise.

Wait, how can you get the code without printing? That would have saved me quite a bit of paper!

I use Google Chrome for this purpose. It allows you to see everything without printing. Of course, you still have to go through the steps.

I actually print all the paperwork as PDFs and save the files on my Google Drive. Then, I have the code without wasting paper AND I can make the PDF available offline on my phone while I'm in the field.
I don't shop for Maritz any longer. The last report that I submitted was lost in their system. When the scheduler called me, I was mystified until I thought about it. I think the system crashed, and they created a restore point that was set for a time before I submitted my report. When the scheduler asked me to redo the entire report, I refused. I had written highly detailed narratives and had spent a long time on the report. The scheduler did not get upset. That was before I joined this forum and knew that others were having the same problem with their very strange software.
I know I wish they would up date a few things in their system.. I dislike when I'm going to be out in an area and I know they have a shop our there in that area. It will say do not start before 1-16 for example. So I'm thinking it's the 19th it should be good. NOPE, once I look further at dates available there is nothing until the 1-27. This doesn't do me any good when I'm trying to schedule my routes to make the small paying shop look a lot better. It has happened three times in a row now. I have tried to call and sometimes my calls are not returned. Are they having a staffing problem?
I love Maritz!!! I've never had a problem with them. They pay is decent and you have to love those incentives. Plus they pay on time and now they have direct deposit. I make over a $1,000 a month and have stopped working with other MSC because they keep me so busy.
I do not generally have problems with Maritz. I often get phone calls from one of the Team members asking me to do a shop with the bonus's. If it has an incentive then I will do them. If they are only $15.00,never will I do them. If I have questions about the shop, then I call them, and they respond quickly. Maritz is different, and then to do the invoice is just part of what they do. If you do not like all their little processes, then please do not do them. Then, the shops are more for me to pick from.
A security code is not necessary?
Is that judgement your opinion?
Or is it an industry wide standard?
I really enjoy Maritz.
They always pay on time and they do put out some nice incentives.
I've shopped for them for around 4 years and find their schedulers and editors to be fair and helpful.
....also I appreciate the use of invoices.
I have a provable record of work performed.
How much time is required to do the invoice?
10 seconds?
A few years ago, I used to do a lot of shops for Maritz but not anymore. They don't have a lot of selection in my area and I don't like doing the big box hardware store because of the low pay and how time consuming it is. I even find their emails in regards to possible new clients and future shops confusing so I usually skim and delete since I have lots of emails to get through each day. I guess that's why it's a good idea to sign up with a number of MSC's because the gold mine can dry up at any time and we have to move on to other companies.
Well the app will solve all your problems.

Unless you want to see what shops are in your area. You MUST read about EACH AND EVERY kind of project they offer and ACCEPT OR DECLINE each and every one, or you will not be able to see ANY of the shops available in your area, even the ones for projects you already ACCEPTED.

Or, if you want to do a gas shop that pays "$12.00!!!!!". There is no way to see which time of day (morning or evening) a given shop is for before (or after) you accept it,

You can fill out the questionnaire, but you can only enter answers in the order they insist on.
If you use firefox, you can hit "View/Print questionnaire" then highlight the "You must print to see the security code" text. Right click on the highlighted area, then pick "View Selection Source". A window will pop up. Scroll to the right, and look for the hex code. Double click it, and copy it. Close the source window. Close the questionnaire window. Try to submit the report. You can now paste the code into the box.

The invoice system is ridiculous. Every other company has some sort of online shop log that shows when you did the shop and when/whether you were paid.
I have a good relationship with Maritz. I of coarse don't like everything you have to do to complete a shop. I deal with it though. They pay decent for most of the opportunities and pay regularly. It is also easy to reach someone when you call. Maritz is on my favorite list.
I just began mystery shopping last fall and have done jobs for 30+ companies so far. Maritz is the first one that I am no longer doing shops for anymore, as I received my only flake citation due to not being able to complete a shop due to snowfall. The hardware company sink shop from December was the most work I've ever done based on what I was paid. Due to customer service and the not good pay, it's bye bye Maritz.

I have never had a problem getting the security code because I only print off the first page of the report. I don't see why we have to use up our printer ink by prinking off the whole report and I do want and use the first page which I attach any receipts or misc. paperwork for my files. I do fully read the report but I will not print every page.
Most MSC's do not require a security code to access the report form. Does that make someone's opinion that a security code is unnecessary invalid?
I also am considering leaving Maritz. When they were busy updating to a new system to accomodate their mobile app, there was intermittwnt periods where I could not access the system and my reports for those specific times was late. I get banned from one of the projects. They waited many months after my last assignment for that project client to put the ban into effect. Therefore my ability to appeal was fruitless since I did not save the specific details from over one year ago. They simply dismissed my objection to the ban with a verbal statement that I need to get compatible devices that can connect with their servers and they are not giving any credence to the idea that their server updating during the time I had to submit before the deadline caused a problem because other reports from shoppers were received. This was unfair because before and after those specific problem times occurred, I had no problems with their servers using the exact same devices (including the exact same software versions on my devices) they stated I needed to replace. I have done approximately 300 plus assignments for them successfully with about one third of them after the times I had connection problems. Certain teams have had individuals with understanding attitudes, but lately the other individuals take the attitude that it is always the fault of the shopper when there are technical issues. Anyone else out there who was blamed for a technical issue with the attitude it was your "outdated" device and not what was happening on Maritz side with all of the fixes going on?

I, as well, have had my fill of Maritz. Bye bye ! Those tests will also ask questions on scenarios unrelated to your current assignment, which is weird. Not worth the $$$
Well looks like big box is gravitating towards the apps.... NOT their app. competitor posted it for three times the going rate.... saw MANY posted saturday. Same questions, all data on app, ZERO paperwork. INSTANT pay.
