When they absolutely, positively, will NOT pay you....

OK, let's get some things straight. I know the reports were used (there were five of them, two for one MSC, three for another)...I know the reports were used because I have strong contacts in the hospitality industry and I am a licensed PI myself.
I have been doing the calling and writing campaign in order to get paid for all of the reports (the oldest is from March os 2012) and I believe in being patient. That is why the oldest one is almost five years old....Just for the record, the newest one is eight months old. I have continued shopping for these MSC's and have professionally handled the pay inquiries. No need to burn any bridges.
This whole idea of going to small claims court is expensive in terms of time, travel, and fees. Anyone who has had to sue anyone else EVER knows this....it is a hassle.
Sybil's post was offensive to me because I like my word to be taken at face value (just a quirk, I guess..that's why I am a good Mystery Shopper and had a successful PI business).
If anyone cares to read my original post, it clear states that I am asking for advice...go to court, or write it off...I was not trying to start a ruckus and defend whether my claims are valid.....

Well, I like facts. When I dont have all the facts, I will ask the appropriate questions to get the answers needed to make an informed decision. That is what makes me an excellent MSer.

And if you are going to go to court, you better get used to being asked questions that you dont want to answer.
Winemaker, your first post says you cannot see going to court and then says do you ask the court for penalties, so I am a little confused. You are going to take them to court? I dang sure would, and I would have done it within a year of not receiving payment. And I may not have deactivated myself, but I would think twice about doing anymore shops for them.
Much of this thread no longer makes sense because several posts are responding to posts LeslieKay111 made. Since LeslieKay111's posts were removed, the responding posts seem off-topic.

To get back on topic, winemaker is apparently considering suing. winemaker, is the amount that you were not paid worth suing for? I agree with JASFLALMT. I certainly would not continue to do shops for them.
