Be aware - photo needed for Maritz gas station with timer

I visited a Pegasus gas station that had the canopy and perimeter lights on a timer. This is new - a photo in now needed for both. Last year if the attendant didn't know haw to turn the lights on of if they were on a timer a response of "no" was all that was needed. Now a photo is needed for Q11 & Q12 if the light can't be turned on even though not specified in the guide. Suggest you save yourself a return visit and take a picture of the underside of the canopy and the perimeter/building lights.

You would think that the overall location photo that includes the canopy and store building would be sufficient enough to prove that the lights are off. I often take extra photos just in case anyway. Thanks for the update.
Please remove either the name of the MSC or the gas station brand. Stating both together is violation of forum rules.

That being said, thanks for sharing this could-be-important info!
@LIJake, sometimes the mods will edit out the obvious hints. Some people get ridiculous with their "hints." There have been a lot of changes to the guidelines and requirements for this brand of gas station. There is a question about new apparel which none of the locations have ever heard. The editors want a photo of something that does not exist. I just submit duplicate uniform photos. So far, so good.
Another recent change with the MSC is: 1) they no longer have a receptionist so trying to reach someone by phone will be even harder now and 2) team members are calling for the status of shops that have not even performed yet AND are not due yet. Totally ridic. If they stop calling me every couple of hours, maybe I could get the shops performed quicker and submit the reports faster. Geesh!
Sybil, I have been leaving out the photo of the new uniform as I have yet to see one this year. But if they insist on one I will do as you suggest and repeat the other photo. By the way, I find this years shop quicker than last years - 20/25 minutes. And I also find the debrief quicker, especially the pump section
@LIJake, I was told by one of the higher up team members that I needed to submit a photo for that apparel question. Just like the randomness of their editors, I think the team members are the same way. You could talk to three different people and get three different answers. It is frustrating so I just end up doing my own thing.
I mentioned this requirement in an earlier comment stream. In essence, they never mentioned this photo requirement (as far as I could find) in the newest guidelines. Nevertheless, i make certain to take a photo of the canopy, unlit as well as the perimeter lighting whenever the employee states they are not able to turn the lights on.

Seems rather silly to me - the attendant could not turn on the lights as they were on a timer (or they did not know how to do so) - so the pic is of a canopy and perimeter lighting without them being on.

I suppose it is to confirm that the shopper forgot to ask.

Maybe?
In the last 3 that I submitted last night I took your advice Sybil, and sent the duplicate picture. In some cases that means 3 shots of the same shirt as I only take a 2nd closeup if a name tag is worn. I don't think the MSC will admit fault but would not be surprised if a clarification in the form of a supliment comes out. There are probably a lot of shoppers that are confused.
Has anyone found the new decals on the pumps. I haven't seen one yet after a dozen or so stations.

Nope, and I've probably done around 40 so far this month. At the moment it makes reporting a little easier. I actually think the stations have been caught off guard with some of this new stuff. I had one manager of a station that was otherwise perfect even tell me that they had no idea what should be taken down and what should stay up.

I know that they like individual photos of everything, no duplicates, but I'm not asking the cashier to stand there while I take three photos. Like you, I take two, then I end up submitting one twice. They require the third photo in the report, but have not said anything about my using the same photo twice, so far.

(I'm referring to another gas station audit that I'm doing, not the one the OP mentioned.)

We are not even three weeks into the month. How does your vehicle have the ability to take all that gas which is a required purchase? Are you using multiple vehicles or are you driving a Hummer?

I have had to give away gas at some of my stations. You would think people would be grateful but they are usually suspicious thinking it is some sort of scam. Some people tell me to give them the money instead of the gas. I just walk away and say, "Your loss. Have a nice day."
I did an entire route of those shops without knowing I needed shots of the turned off lights. Luckily, I was able to crop what I needed from other photos. (One advantage of taking full-res photos and resizing them later.)

I have never bothered taking more than one picture of the uniform. If the tag can't be read, it's usually due to glare, and getting closer doesn't help much. I just submit three of the same photo. Plus, I really don't want to be taking closeups of women's chests.

That is what the zoom feature on your camera or phone is for. Let the camera be the pervert that zooms in on women's boobs!

They just require up to $5. $1 or $2 is also acceptable.
I have done a lot of driving these last few weeks though!
Where I live a vast majority of these stations are owned by foreigners who are ESL or no English at all. They really have no clue what is expected of them in terms of stickers and card holders on the pumps. I finally told Maritz that the petroleum company needed to have soneone who can communicate with those from India and Pakistan call one owner and explain the requirements and Plenti. The poor owner was honestly trying, but month after month I was citing for the same stuff. He'd try to ask me questions but we really couldn't communicate. He was frustrated.
I also have 5 gal gas cans, 5 or 6 of them. I also have a 14 gal container on wheels with a pump. Plus 4 cars including my sons and his girlfriend. So I have no problem using 100+ gallons of gas a month. I secure the gas cans in plastic milk cartons strapped together in my trunk.
I've also run into a new problem. I ran into a couple of locations that had a sign on a door that read," No public bathroom." When I got home to enter the shop it required a photo.
I did have a several locations with the new stickers and a couple employees with the new uniform. The uniform is red, so it's easy to notice.
It's always an adjustment period for me when requirements change at the beginning of the year.
Gas cans!! My car only holds 10 gallons. The rest goes in the cans in the trunk. If I am getting reimbursed for $5, I WILL get every penny's worth!
The retail employee refuse to have his picture taken so I took 6 pictures of the counter------->a picture for the employee, the name tag, the not worn red shirt, the good and plenty no show, and the smart app.

The reason the employee did not want his picture taken was because he did not have on the uniform nor nametag. Go figure.smiling smiley

He did not want a neck down pic.
