MFI Shop Rejections, Worth $16, Deciding it it's worth the effort to fight it...

I did two $8 cell phone shops for MFI, one Tues. and one Weds. I received an email just now, the first one is invalid. I'm sure I'll be getting an email for the second one as they would both be invalid for the same reason.

That reason is I did not give two objections. I did give two reasons for objections, but could not actually object twice. I could not object twice because the reps didn't try in anyway to get my business. With the first shop, I gave my objections once and the rep pretty much just turned away and went to doing work on her computer. I guess I could have followed her and reminded her again of why I was not getting the cell phone plan that she was NOT attempting to sell to me.

I could try to fight the rejection I guess, but not sure if it's worth the effort. I have to say though it seems that lately they will look for any reason to reject a shop. In June I did close to 200 shops, none were rejected or questioned in anyway by any company, except for MF and for reasons that were completely out of shopper control. They did end up accepting them though, but not until after many an email to the help desk.

Lisa, it sounds like you've reached decision time. Cut MF loose for a month. See if you miss them.
Fight it, then cut them off. :-) If the salesperson doesn't do their job, and they do not want you to give yourself away as a shopper, what is it they do expect you to do. I know, dumb question, as it is MFI...but still. I would ask for the shopper advocate to take a look at it.

I emailed the shopper advocate and just explained that I did make the objections, the salesperson just really wasn't interested in carrying on the conversation. So I guess I will see.
I have to say that I am impressed that you can get 200 shops in a month, Lisa. That kind of volume just doesn't exist here, unless one stoops to taking $1 shops and driving to the boonies to do them. Even then, I doubt that anyone here can get that kind of volume. Small island, limited volume. Here, you have to go for the usable reimbursements and big payers, then add a few fillers on route.

I do most of the volume on the weekends. In my tiny town, there are 1-2 shops a month. On Saturday and Sunday I usually go to the larger cities around an hour from me. I'm gone 10-12 hours, but can get at 15-20 done a day. Then I pick another day or two during the week and hit some cities around 30 minutes from me. I can usually get close to 10 on those days. Despite the fact that my town houses only about 2,500 people, the cities an hour from me are among the largest in my state.

I rarely drive to the boonies because in this area I would be lucky to get one shop. The boonie gas stations around here never get above $15, so it wouldn't be worth the drive.
How on earth do you stay up long enough after working 12 hours to report them all? I am in AWE of you, Lisa.

Hah, thanks. Some weekends it is pretty rough. Sometimes though I am lucky and most of the shops will have a due date of sometime the next morning or afternoon so it gives me a little extra time.

When I have higher paying shops that require a lot of narrative, I don't schedule as many for those days since I know the reports will take me longer.
I'd love to know who's responsible for the rejection, the reviewer or the client who can't deal with the info reported unless 100% positive ?
I shopped a men's discount store. In the 45 min I was there I found noone to interact with, saw 4 associates: one at the CS desk & one cashiers (they don't count, I'm told)& two racing down the aisle (according to the guidelines aisles are an off limit safe zone).Short of screaming "Heads up I'm a shopper" what is one to do? Shop was rejected with a 1 score, my 10 average plumeted, fifth shop with these folks and proud to say last. However the client got a good insight to a weakness during one monent in time and I got to purchase a new pair of sneakers.
Could the answer be to submit spell checked fairy tales?
Either, or both. Or the MSC execs above the reviewer. Depends. The good MSC's will pay the shopper even when the client rejects the shop.

I wouldn't waste your time fighting them...you can do different shops and make more than the 16.00 you lost. I know it's not about the money, but, if their not fair, it will happen again, cut them loose, don't accept any more jobs for awhile, and then go back....bet they'll miss you.

Live consciously....
