Intellishop, I knew my luck couldn't hold out ...

I was assigned ten shops. The scheduler extended the dates on the ten shops at my request. All is great, right! WRONG. I get home from completing the shops and there are now only nine in my shop log. All ten were listed when I left on my route. I received no notification of any cancellation. I completed the shops on Friday and needless to say, haven't been able to reach the scheduler over the weekend. Three emails to the scheduler and still no word. Looks like I'll be fighting for another $7.00 freaking payment. The only evidence I have is that I printed out the first page of the report. I generally print that page so I can attach the receipt to it. But, it is proof that I was assigned.

Edited to say: Received response from scheduler. "This location is no longer available to be shopped, which triggered all open shops to be deleted until further notice. I apologize for this inconvenience," Inconvenience? How about UNETHICAL.

The shop was in my shop log that morning. I performed the shop around 10:00 AM, along with many others. When I got home I went to enter this shop first, as it was the first one I had completed. The shop was no longer in my shop log.

Am I wrong expecting payment? Do we literally have to pull up our shops before we enter the door of the shop, to make sure the shop hasn't been cancelled? Oh wait, no that won't even work. They can still cancel before you have a chance to enter the report.

WOW! Doesn't sound right to me. I would definitely hang on to your print out and speak to the scheduler. If you don't get any satisfaction go up the ladder. If you performed all or any of the shops you should get paid.

I don't think you are wrong in expecting payment for the shop you completed. Am I correctly understanding? You were assigned 10 shops and you completed all 10. You reported 9 but one had been removed from your shop log. The response to your e-mail to the scheduler was that the shop was no longer available to be shopped and the scheduler was sorry for the inconvenience. I would communicate again, very politely and respectfully, and explain that you DID shop that location because you were not notified that it was not available to shop and request payment. I would communicate as though I were assuming that I would be paid for the shop. If you do not get an agreeable response, I would escalate the request to a lead scheduler or to a supervisor.

Just fyi, Intellishop is a MSPA member. The MSPA lists as contact for Intellishop: Ron Welty, (419) 872-5103.
Yes, Austin... you understand 100% correctly. I sent a nice email to the scheduler shortly after receiving her response, stating that I expected to be paid for both the fee and the required purchase. I don't anticipate a response. I would be happy with, "I work for a crappy company and I hate when they do this to shoppers, but it is out of my control." I really would. Just acknowledge that you and/or your company are in the wrong. This will be my second time to be screwed over by Intelli-shop. I stopped working for them for a year. I guess that wasn't long enough. I'm just happy it's cheap little Intelli-shop that is screwing me out of $7.00 fee and $1.89 reimbursement. What if it was the four-bank comparison shop I just completed for $368.00 (not Intelli-shop!!).

That being said, I was livid this morning after receiving the "sorry for the inconvenience" response from the editor. My blood pressure probably shot up 20 points. It literally ruined my morning. As a result, I removed the shop from my records as if it never existed and removed all emails related to the shop. The aggravation of fighting to be paid in this case is higher than the monetary value. How does that saying go, "Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me."?

Sounds like the convenience store shops... Let us know how it turns out for you! I used to do LOTS of work for IntelliShop back in 2014-2015, but suddenly stopped when my favorite scheduler switched to a different project.

They are the convenience shops. Unfortunately, I will probably continue to do them. My pups love these shops because they get to ride with me all day. But, I will admit, they enjoy the actual pet store shops much more! I shop to support my critters. LOL

I had one of those for a different company and situation. Luckily I was not quite my way and I stopped to print the paperwork. I was told that the company had decided not to have the shop done that week. It was not the msc nor the scheduler. Be nice & glad, as you said, that it was a smaller paying shop and that the other 9 were still there. So sorry that happened but sometimes things are just out of our control.
I have a huge issue with Intellishop. Don't think I'll be shopping for them anymore. I was scheduled for a famous shoe store. The instructions said " Dont buy a shoe off the clearance rack, if so, shop will be invalidated". I picked a shoe off the regular rack, it was on "sale". When i went to purchase, it rang up on clearance. What was I supposed to do?? tell the cashier I didnt want a clearance shoe?? No. I bought it and when I got to my car, I emailed scheduler. NO RESPONSE( this was a friday)/ On Saturday, I contacted the help desk. I never got an overdue notice or any email. Finally get a response from the scheduler late Monday how the shop was removed from my log and it " should be ok for the shoe I bought, just explain it". She said " We need the shop asap". I said " I'm at work now and can't write it up until I get home". She cancels the shop. WTF? Now I have to go and return the damn ugly shoe. I told her that I hope I'm not penalized for this and she says NOTHING back.

A very typical Intelli-shop experience.
In 2012 I did a shop for Intellishop and they deleted it while I was there. I wrote and complained, they said "Sorry, it was pulled, nothing we can do." Two days later they put it back on my log with a note that it was late! I forwarded my emails and they said to turn it in and they were sorry for the confusion. I turned it in - but was never paid because it was late.

I wrote and told them not to bother contacting me again unless they were offering items bonused 5x regular rate.

I didn't hear from them again until January of this year. Sure enough, they offered me a staggering amount for a shop that required my specific model of car. I did it and got paid. I noticed that the one from 2012 is still on there and it says that I never turned it in!
I accepted an Intellishop hardware/garden store not too far from my house. As part of my preparation, I looked at the printer-friendly report form and chose one of the authorized shop scenarios. Completed the shop this morning, came home to do the report, and found out the 'real' version does not list my scenario! I can't wait to see what response I get to my emailed question about this.

Update and a question--shop was ultimately accepted. The scheduler scolded me for not opening the report form to get the information. Of course, you have to open the report to get to the printer-friendly version, which is what I use to prepare my cheat sheet of questions. Am I doing it wrong?

It's been a while since I did one of these. If I remember correctly, the printer-friendly form is generic and lists a more scenarios than the one or the choice approved for a particular shop. (The real scenario or choice of scenarios is on the real report. And I've definitely noticed that is the case with some other MSCs. I don't print the report form so I always go to the actual form to make my cheat sheet. The only reason I would ever access the printer-friendly form would be to print it.
Unfortunately they pull shenanigans like this all the time. As of yesterday I have permanently deactivated myself from them.

Why didn't you just write the report up? And send the scheduler an separate email explaining what happen?

At worst they would have rejected your shop.

Why would I spend the time writing it up if I wasnt going to get paid? ( which turned out to be the case). I'm not in the wrong here.
