Dislike new MF website

Is anyone else not happy with the new MF website. You have to click on the job first to see the times for the shops. You have to add the pictures during the paperwork. A job that use to take me five minutes to do for the paperwork now takes about twenty.

I agree, this is a step backwards. I always preferred to enter my photos or receipts at the end of the report. Also, you can't see the compensation for a job until you actually open it.
The shop fees are listed on the website and the app. Other than a few clients, the times are listed on the website BUT not on the app. Other details that used to be shared have disappeared for many shops.

There were a couple threads on this a while back. I hate the photo part now (though I've gotten used to it now), but someone did observe on the website if you hide the map you can see the times and fees without clicking for more details

In my experience every time a company (not just a msc) changes their website it gets worse. They seem to always delete some really helpful items and replace them with things only 1% of the population cares about. I get used to the new format but not happily.
"Use the App" -- LOL, ROTFLMFAO!!!!

I have given up on the app in total, helpless, frustrating CONFUSION!!!

I just got so sick of getting halfway through a report and suddenly the screen goes white...and after a while, it says some thing like "oops, sorry -- I've quit working"!!!!!
I do not like the new site OR the app. I usually have not been happy with their changes but eventually adjust. The app won't allow me to search a different area from where I am as far as I can tell and I am unable to see the CPI until after I accept the shop. I want to see if I can get a shake or not. And when I check it late at night, these are usually down for me as well. Ugh.

I've noticed that I don't see as many shops via the app as I do via my desktop. Does anyone else experience that?

I agree with you. I don't like it. Everything about it is less user friendly. I have had trouble every time I have to upload photos to this site. I don't take a lot of MF because of the low pay, but always liked the fact that they were very clear in their expectations and the site was easy to use. Now, they have low pay and a difficult site.
I've been uploading the photos to the report BEFORE I enter the report and that has worked beautifully. I've adapted to everything else. I already know the info for most of the shops by now so I don't really need to look at the details unless I want to take the shop. However!!! I have not seen the make an offer link yet.......

This. I have had the app stop working the second I put in the receipt photo. The app automatically submits the report before I have finished. On the previous site, I could then go to my laptop and input the receipt photo and sign the cpi. Now, with the current site, The app still "stopped working" out of no where, but when I go to the laptop, the report is in QC and I cannot input the receipt or sign the cpi. I emailed them and they said I have to wait for an auditor to ask me for these things. Yeah this was long winded. Basically, it used to suck when things went wrong, but I was able to work around it. Now, it sucks even more.
It would be nice if MF came onto the form and addressed the concerns mentioned here. It would only benefit them to make the best possible website for them and for us. I applaud the other MSC's that come on here.
I'm pretty computer savvy, but I cannot get a copy of my report with the new website. I've copied, pasted, saved as .pdf and everything I can think of, but no luck. And if you have to edit something, you have to click through every page again to get to the final page to move on to the CPI. All the other companies' sites will allow a "print to PDF". Does MF not want us to have a copy of the report? I had an issue with overlapping times on a shop that was next door to another shop and I can't see what I did because again, I don't have a copy of the report. Dang!
HATE IT! HATE IT !HATE IT! HATE IT! HATE IT! HATE IT! HATE IT!
I hate the map feature even though I can hide it, maybe it would be useful if I was shopping away from my home area. I hate it doesn't save user preferences, such as "hide map" and "number of shops shown per pate". I hate that it doesn't have a page number navigator at the top and the bottom of the search page. I preferred the old method of uploading receipts and photos. I had to click around a while to find the payment history information. The old website was much more straight forward and easy to navigate, but it was (and still is) annoying to have only one survey question per page sometimes. Did I mention I hate the new site?

P.S. to Market Force, I work with a lot of people that could solve all your website problems. P.M. me and I'll be happy to help you change the bent of this thread.

Ever hopeful, I will continue to enter data and images to the extent that the report system allows this. I have all required information and will supply it again if asked to do so.

I am certain that the auditors deserve hazard pay during this time of transition. Let's see what happens after a few more weeks in the new system... smiling smiley

At first I didn't like it, but I like it now. Especially since I just discovered the APP, it makes reporting shops very easy.
I too am finding the new website to be less user-friendly. In my opinion, it is a poor design and layout of the information. I also had the experience of having to go through all the pages again after making an edit. Very annoying and time consuming. They need to add back the summary link that previously was available. Companies need to apply the rule of, "If it isn't broken, don't fix it" and leave their websites alone.

Also, when I logged in to input my report, I tried to look at available assignments first. It would not let me. A message indicated I had a shop that was a day old that had not been reported yet so I was not allowed to look at new assignments. That shop was still in the 8 hour window for reporting. And even though it was still 4/15/17 my time, it was 4/16/17 MF time, so to their system the shop was a day old. I often input shops after 9 pm because I perform most assignments in the afternoon or evening. So this is likely to be a regular issue with the three hour time difference between me and MF. I guess I will have to login to find new shops before 9 pm or I will have to wait until all my assignments have been submitted.
No one has commented on the lack of a decent job description BEFORE accepting a job. The new job descriptions give almost no information. I have passed on many jobs because the description is practically non-existent, and I do not want to commit to something I might not be willing or able to do.
That is the case with all the MSCs that I'm signed up with; just a sentence or two about the assignment.

The app appears to us a preset search condition based on your registered address. The website uses your default search though like before it does not retain shop type selections. The website also provides more details. The app is easier to submit shops from. The website does not appear to recognize the GPS interface that easily on tablets, which is a pain.

I also thought you had to go through all the pages again if you went back to "edit" a section when viewing it in the summary, but I found out there is a way to go back directly to the summary page after you make your edit:

After clicking on the "edit" button and making the relevant changes, I usually proceed one page further (by clicking on the "next" button) to make sure that my changes are saved. Then, I go to near the top of the page where you'll see 5 "Tabs" labeled: 1. Report 2. Images 3. Review CPI 4. Submit. I click on the Tab labeled "3. Review". This takes you back to the summary review, where you can view your whole report in one page by scrolling down, and it bypasses having to click "next" through all the pages again.

I too have noticed that MF treats everyone as being on Eastern Time...since I am on the West coast, I am 3 hours behind them and at 9pm PT (my time zone), it is midnight where they are. So yes, they think my reports are "late" and like JoR, I cannot view any available shops until I submit the "late report(s)". This is indeed a bit annoying since I also complete my shops in the afternoon or evening and usually don't report them until nighttime.

I agree with everyone's frustration about the new MF website. It seems to be missing a lot of pertinent information (like type of burger shop: walk-in, phone, or web/app) and it also seems to be much slower in loading every page. I'm lucky to not have encountered some of the uploading/submitting report problems that many have complained about on this board, but I'm definitely not pleased with the "upgrade". Hopefully MF will fix these issues, but I'm not sure how likely that will actually be.
The web site was obviously developed by people who have little, if no,experience actually using the site.
Oh my! Thanks for the tip; I have been so frustrated. I thought I had tried that but evidently not in that order or something. I even e-mailed the help desk, but they didn't understand what I was trying to tell them and gave me a 'that's not so' kind of answer. LOL!
Having worked in environments/jobs where quality is important, the people who rollout a new version of software spend months having users test out the pre-release version. That means testing the user interface as well as typing in, uploading, and submitting reports. It's obvious what kind of testing was done on this website.

I think it's a shame that we IC's spend more time trying to figure out problems on the website than the job is actually worth, by the time all is said and done. MF should have a feedback/forum where we can report problems and a updated status is provided by MF. Given the problems people have filing reports on the West Coast within the 8 hour timeframe/time change period, the system should adjusted to maybe 3am EST, and everyone has to file it by midnight their local time.
MF did, and does, ask for feedback regarding their new site. We have to enter our shops before we can look at the shops they are available in the future. I already do that, I want those completed shops off my desk as soon as possible and, unless there are some new shops, I've usually scheduled with them about a month out otherwise my competitors will have taken them. Compared to 2nd to none and many of the other sites, MF is really easy for me except for the photo uploads sometimes.
I'm talking about acknowledgement of the problems we have as well as website feedback we've been talking about. Problems have been going on for weeks and not a peep from them. For all we know, our issues go into a black hole. Each legitimate issue we bring up should be addressed. For some people, they don't mind these issues but for others it means spending 30-60 extra minutes of time trying to upload receipts/pictures and entering reports.
grinning smiley *Update* Huzzah! After spending three days on images for a set of shops, I think I get it. If our images are ready, or we are using a smart phone to work on a report, we can add previously taken images before entering data or take images and enter them immediately into a report when requested to do so. Several steps later, we can work on all images that we have supplied. Also at this stage, we may enter images for the first time. Waiting until this time to enter images slowed me down and I do not recommend it. I strongly suggest entering images before filling out the body of the report or adding images as you work through the survey. For each image, there is a drop-down box where we link the required image to its relevant question. If we have additional images, we may or may not have indicated their presence in the report by providing a number of expected images. [Here is an example involving a simple gas station shop. If we have only one image of a sign, we will only find one drop-down box for linking one image to the question about the sign. However, if we have three images of the sign and say so in the report, we will find three drop-down boxes where we will link the three images to the question about the sign.] If the images are not indicated in our report, they are merely extras, and we do not link them. The images stay in the report and are available for MF and/or the client.

I have experience with two shop types and this new reporting system. The ease of incorporating images may vary according to shop type and shopper experience. Today, for the first time ever, I entered an image for MF just by using my phone to take a picture of the required image at the relevant place in the report. The image went right into the report as it was intended to do. My little experience just demonstrates that this system works for me, for two types of shops and with two combinations of equipment.

If I can make this much progress, you can do so much more! smiling smiley

So, the images that you enter as you are entering your report are behaving like the app. That's good to know! Thanks. I've been entering all of the images before I start the report and that's been working also. You go to shop details, enter images.
I wish they would fix their new site too. I'd like to see more than 5 shops at once; in fact - I want to see all of them at once so that maybe 80 or more in the list. I always change it; however the change never saves to the next time I'm in looking.
