Julie Posner of CSE fired me because I asked for a bonus

It probably just means there were multiple food outlets to evaluate. Eating several meals would be tough to do.
I have been working for CSE at the airports for 10 years. This is one of my favorite jobs. There have been times that you get a bonus if you turn your work in on time and correctly. Yes on their smaller shops you can ask for a bonus, it's yes or no. Julie is a great scheduler to work with. I have received 10s on almost all of my work I do for them. The badge process isn't that bad, finger printing and a test that is hard not to pass, all about security.
Every 2 to 3 years you have to be retested. CSE does not give out the badge it is the companies that run the shops and restaurants, CSE is the scheduling company.
DrTerminus WHAT REALLY BOTHERED ME IS YOUR STATEMENT, " I had other reasons for wanting a badge which would be difficult to explain without giving away to much information about the client." What client? The badge is only for the assigned shops by CSE.
I am fortunate that I live nearby and don't have to park, they do pay for parking. You don't have to eat all of the food.
I am also one of the "very fortunate peons" and I love it. I got badged recently and have done 2 rounds so far. I think Julie Posner is the best. I had never even done any shops for CSE and I got the email to apply to get badged. She has helped me out and I think she is absolutely amazing. I respect and appreciate her, and I am more than happy to do the round for $300+ and I feel that is an extremely fair amount as IMHO the reports are not difficult or long. I feel no need to ask for more, and I believe that if someone involved in the program were to be asked to do a last minute round that they would be compensated extra without even asking. My first round took a bit of time but on the second round, I figured it out and a system that works for me. I am looking forward to the next round of shops which I am hoping is soon. Does anyone know when the program that started in April will be scheduling again? I have only done 2 rounds plus the Prestos. Thanks for any help. I do not know what I can or cannot say on here so I did not mention the airport, but anyone that got their badge around 4/4/2017 knows what program I am talking about. Thanks again!

I had to go to at least 3 restaurants a day, with an alcohol requirement. Then there were a few other shops, usually food shops. Though I only took a sip, and a taste of the rich food, I always had a problem. You see, they had to bundle a number of shops. Though I requested a two-day window a week, my system just could not handle it. I am basically a no drinker and a small eater.

It was not the concession food. Many of them were really good and my son enjoyed them. Though I enjoyed walking, carrying a lot of leftover take out in my 'suitcase' was not fun, lol It was a different MSC that handled it. I actually enjoyed my stint, except for the stated problem.
Walesmaven has mentioned how she brings a suitcase with food containers and ice packs. It sounds like a great deal for her and others. Like you, I would probably enjoy the walking and it would be diminished by hauling all that stuff. Not like you, the drinking and eating would be no problem at allsmiling smiley

When looking into performing a shop that perhaps I have never done before, I try and ask or look for information on here from others who have done those kinds of shops (and thank you to those who have been very helpful) Then I'll make a determination if I wanted to take the time to do the shop.

For those who are doing the Airport Circuits, have fun! I miss doing those and I hope the powers that be re-start the project here.

That's why you bring Tupperware and an ice pack, if needed.

How does one transfer food to their own container and stash it in their suitcase while performing a mystery shop?

Ask for it to go, it is an airport, so not uncommon. Go to the restroom and transfer to Tupperware.
I have often wondered that as well, but apparently that's how wales does it?

Ewww. The thought of taking my food into a public restroom, or any restroom for that matter, is just plain yucky.

What I used to do is look at my shops and get an idea of how many restaurant shops I had and try to space them out so I don't do 2-3 of them in a row. If this could not be helped, I'd get smaller items at each sit down place so I would not have a full meal at them. For the newsstand shops I'll get something and put it in my bag if its foodstuff..

I have also taken it to the quick service food court area and repackaged or in the terminal gate area.

Restroom is probably the cleanest place in the airport!
You obviously have never been in the Atlanta airport. :/

Pretty much live there. Never had an issue w restrooms.
The ones I've been in stink and are gross. And heaven knows there's not a counter space dry enough to repack food on.

Edited to add:

Also, every time someone flushes the toilet thousands of tiny poop particles get on your food.

I plan it so my later shops are the ones where I'm likely to have leftovers, especially ones I need to keep cold. I just carry a tote bag with me, and I can put the to-go containers in that until I get back to my car. I keep a cooler there for the drive home. I do not handle my food in the restroom. I think my airport is smaller than most of yours though, with fewer shops per visit. Sometimes my husband drives me there, so I can also pass off my leftovers for him to eat when I return to the plaza area.
I do not go into the rest room. Most shops are in the food courts and are packaged like take out. I order soup from one shop, maybe salad from another, just fries from another. The restaurants I plan to eat soup or chili. Bar shops, no alcohol allowed, just a burger or soup.

One requests a take-out box for leftovers, walks over to a gate area where no employees will likely not be around, take out out their own container, quickly transfer it, then dispose of the disposable take-out box.

Who pays for the badges? If it's the msc, maybe she pulled the plug before she had to pay for the op's badge? I have a badge at ny day job. I suspect it's expensive to do all that.
The owner of the concessions or shops paid for the badges at the airport where I worked at two terminals. The airport had among the cleanest washrooms I've been to, all over the world. All those who visited me commented on it.
3 yrs ago i went thru the entire rigamore, having to go to the airport, testing, fingerprinted, photos, blah blah.. I got badged, did 10 shops at the airport and a week later, i was told to hand it in.. WTF?? I still work for them, but not often. I LOVED doing the airport jobs, and, according to my ratings, did well. ???????????

Airport badging requires continued sponsorship for the badged person. When a badged employee at an airport quits or is terminated, he relinquishes his badge. When a mystery shopper receives a badge, that badge is only valid during the period of time the MSC uses the shopper to perform shops using the badge. When the company no longer needs you to perform airport shops, you don't get to keep the badge. It sounds as though their project ended, or they had another shopper in your area they preferred to use.
I used to love working for CSE when Donna was my contact. Julie Posner is definitely not my cup of tea. I keep checking back every few months to see if she still works there. I look forward to the day when she does not.

There was a continued back-and-forth, but the result is that I will be mailing my badge back to Julie tomorrow, since she provided a postage pre-paid envelope on which I insisted as a condition of returning it.

The demand for a pre-paid mailer makes me doubt the whole of DrTerminus's claims. Julie is excellent. If there were more like her - and like CSE - in this industry then it would be a better world.
