Can I use an alias for the Ath Power new home loan (or re-fi) scenario?

I haven't applied for this shop, but I have read the instructions. It doesn't say one way or another if I can use an alias or not. I would prefer to use an alias since I do most of my banking with this bank. Also, if I use my real name, won't there be a notation in the bank's computer system stating I visited with a loan officer, thus preventing me from doing a similar shop at another branch? However, I'm concerned the mortgage loan officer will ask for my ID? I know another Ath Power shop scenario instructions state the shopper must provide ID to the banker if asked.

I don't know which shops might require an ID. Most inquiry shops do not require one and allow for an alias. Be prepared to be asked for the ID and keep in mind, "just say no."

I did two of these. The first one, the loan officer would not see me without my submitting my documents first. I refused, since I was looking for information. ath paid me $40.

The second one was successful. Dude knew that I was there to do an inquiry. I didn't need any documents or ID. We had a great meeting. I was paid in full.

I used my real information because I have an account with them. The first MO wanted blood, the second one did not.

HonnyBrown, to which "documents" are you referring? Did the LO ask just for your ID, or did he want to complete paperwork, do a credit check, etc. before he would meet with you?
