cancelled shop after already completed

Hello again,
I had an oil change shop assigned me to me to complete sometime this week. I completed the shop this morning, but when I got home, I had an email stating that the shop had been cancelled and I didn't need to go there!! I responded to the email right away, but I haven't heard back. Any suggestions? I could have found a place to do that oil change for half the price elsewhere!

You completed the shop prior to knowing it was cancelled. You should have no problem getting paid for it.

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
Thanks for your reply. (After I'd received the cancellation notice) I logged in to complete the report and poof....no record of the job AT ALL. Still no reply. I will need to call, I imagine.
Since I hadn't gotten any reply to my reply email, I called about 3:00 this afternoon, 6 hours after my shop. The person with whom I needed to speak (the person who's sent the email) was on another line, I was told, and I left her a voicemail. So far....nothing. I will pursue this, though. Hmmm...how would this look if this company were shopped? Thank you for your words of hope!!
Please do not let this go. You will get paid.

I had the same situation but by pure luck checked my emails before leaving the house and saw the cancellation. Good luck on getting paid.
singrswim, how's it going?

Sometimes, we have to make executive decisions. Recently, I had a brunch scheduled at a hotel with several dining rooms and clubs. The night before the shop, I made the pre-visit call and found out that the dining room listed on my shop was under renovation, and brunches had been temporarily downsized and relocated to a conference room. The scheduler didn't answer her phone so I shot her an email advising her of the change, and that I was proceeding with the shop unless I heard different from her before 10 the next morning.

I could have decided to not do the shop until I heard from the scheduler. Instead, I chose to go on record with an email. Not surprisingly, I had not heard from her by the next morning. I did the shop. Got home and had an email from the scheduler asking me to sit tight until she cleared it with the client.

I took a chance conducting the shop and spending my money. Minimal back and forths with a positive outcome. I was paid.
Glad to hear it, we have to make our own judgement call and hope it works, it did for you...hooray!!

Live consciously....
ROTFL!!! Just another trick used to keep from paying.

I had shops "cancelled" after I had entered my reports.

I did two shops and then later found out they had been canceled. They said that they would pay.
